Let face it Kevin McHale isn't exactly a great coach. I'll give him credit and say he is a good coach sure isn't great, but we are not winning a championship with McHale. Ban me for life if McHale lands us a championship. Look at out potential playoff match ups 1. Spurs - Greg Pop 2. Thunder - Scott Brooks 3. Nuggets - George Karl Those are elite coaches out there what I'm saying is that am I the only one worried about this?
Let's worry about the other teams' elite players and talent advantage over us before worrying about their coaches.
Brooks is grotesquely overrated, he got straight outcoached by Spoelstra in last years finals by his inability to adjust to anything (lol Perkins).
Brooks doesn't have a lot of respect on this board. But I bet you a sizable percentage of posters here would believe Popovich led Rockets can beat McHale led Spurs, sadly enough.
Agreed but both Mchale and Sampson are terrible coaches. We need a coach who will count everyone liable on defense (esp. Harden) and we need a coach who designs smart crisp offensive plays. We need a coach who doesn't have bad substitution patterns
any average joe led Rockets team would beat the pants off McHale/Sampson led Rocket team. because no average joe would be dumb enough to stick Delfino on opposing team's PF's who happens to always becomes their leading scorer. no average joe would be dumb enough to bench the starting point guard the at the end of games and especially all of OT in favor of a back up guard just because he thinks "it seems like a better match up defensively". and no average joe would be dumb enough to keep their whole backup squad in the game after losing a 20+ point lead to the worst team in the league nearly costing a must win game.
Brooks has more experience then McHale, I'd personally, say McHale and Jackson(Warriors) are definitely the least experienced outside of all the Western conference coaches unless Utah makes it.
Ohhh tough question. I predict a seven games series with McHale subbing Delfino at the 4 for the win.
If this is true then same can be said about Pop. He got straight outcoached by Brooks when his Spurs went up 2-0 by his inability to adjust after Brooks sicked his junkyard dog Sefolosha on Parker in Game 3.
