Three times we passed him up. Nuggets have done great picking up guys Morey fails to pick multiple times. First Faried (passed him up twice for Morris and Motiejunas), now Funnier (passed him up for Lamb, White and Jones). Denver is a better version of Houston.
Or maybe they have a better development coaching staff. Which I guess is still Morey's fault for hiring McHale in the first place.
It's good we traded our picks away because I'm not confident in Morey's ability to actually draft someone good.
Faried, alright. That's fair - he's a great player. But you're really knee-jerking with Fournier. He's scored in double figures 3 times this whole season (4 if you could tonight). Not sure how you're hammering in your point by making an argument for Evan.
Want to hear something funny? (the majority of the 1st rounders from this past draft are for real. Including the ones we have. Don't tell anybody though.)
Morey is great at those 2nd round picks, Parsons is a HUGE steal. But he really hasn't shown much success at scouting talent early in the draft. That usually transcends analytics and requires a really good intuition about a player's role, development, smarts, and drive for the game.
Well ummm...it's actually a pretty good thing we drafted Lamb. As you were right, he was our sacrificial lamb and the Bball gods gifted us a Harden because of our sacrifice.
We also traded Nicolas Batum for Darell Arthur and a nobody back in 08.....Morey's drafting as been pretty poor thus far excluding Chandler Parsons.
Fournier has now been playing significant minutes in 4 straight games, all 4 wins. Commentators like Haralabos Voulgaris have commented on how good he is:

Nuggets got a pretty good one in E. Fournier, he's only going to get better. Nice pickup on their part.
— Haralabos Voulgaris (@haralabob) April 5, 2013
Tonight is simply further validation of Fournier's talent.

Wasn't his biggest knock heading into the draft that he couldn't shoot? Doesn't seem to be the case at all now. Anyway, like you said, props to Masai Ujiri for selecting what looks like another great prospect with a 20's pick.
I'm kind of ashamed - I almost thought there was enough validity to the OP's comments to post. Maybe you'll trick me next time...
The funnier thing is: when Denver gets the 3rd seed and we get the 6th, you will be coming to Boulder for a playoff game!
