It is true because if a premise is false, then the negation of a premise must therefore be true!

    Harden is best = false
    Thus Not (Harden is best)=true

To say that something is absolutely the best means it must qualify for this all the time, otherwise when you say in some cases it doesn't qualify to be the best, then you can't say it is absolutely the best.

I agree with you that Harden is the best player most of the time, I'm just saying he is absolutely not the best. LOL

    Not even slightly upset.
Im proud of the guys for the effort they gave in the first half, on a back2back on the road without Parsons (who was sorely missed today) and Delfino, sadly fatigue set in an the second half. You could tell by how short Harden and Lin's shot were getting :( Also would've been nice if the bench stepped up a little bit :p

Anyway, a couple of positives I got from this loss:
-An awesome game by Jeremy.... and on a back2back
    -Anderson's filthy dunk

I disagree on Harden's defense. He was miserable. Constantly getting burned by his man, no hustle, lack of movement/trying, not getting back on transition D, etc. I can't believe anyone can say Harden did very well on defense if they saw the game...

I think Karl is good at the matchup game because he knows his own players really well and knows how to improve and optimize their abilities.

This was the worst overall effort I have seen this season. I understand on being on the 2nd game of a B2B but seriously, I was saying "good defense (sarcastically)" to pretty much every shot Denver took in part of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Our players didn't get within 12 feet our the 3 point shooters in transition, and I can think of 3 of these types of possessions off the top of my head. Overall a horrendous game. I liked TJones, Lin, and Beverley's effort. Denver is really, really tough at home but we shouldn't lose that badly. Embarrassing. This doesn't waiver my faith in this team or anything. Learn, reflect and go on to the next one.

that wasn't even a bad loss tbh. A loss is a loss and we threw in the towel long ago when Asik couldn't even walk up the court.

Harden is an elite scorer. Maybe a top 5 player offensively in the league.

But no way he is a super star because super star play both end of the floor.

    That is the point.

And his effort on D is beyond pathetic.

How so? What I said was valid unless you would like to disprove instead of mudslinging words around?

4-1 this past 2 weeks, not bad at all. Plus it's a b2b so just regroup and play a good game on Tuesday.

No that was bad, Karl basically exposed every weakness we had. We were doomed the minute McHale decided to start Smith instead of a quicker PF to matchup with Faried.

And then he left Harden out there way too long when he wasn't giving a ($*, could not have been good for team morale, should have benched him early.

wth are you talking about? Were you even watching the game? It was within 6-7 for the longest time before Harden sat, Omer sat, and we threw in the towel.

We lost by 20+ . Stop over analyzing ****.

    1. Iggy is the reason why if the Rockets get the 6th seed, they will cause major problems for the Rockets. His defense his excellent. Too bad Gallo went down for them, because they'd be a major contender in the playoffs. Gallo's tough for them to replace, a 6'10 guy that can shoot and that's decent off the dribble.

    2. On that note, if OKC Thunder had Iggy this year instead of Martin, they would beat the Heat in the Finals. If they had Iggy instead of Harden last year, they would have beaten the Heat. Perkins/Ibaka/Durant/Igoudala/Westbrook - ridiculous. To think a few years ago people were comparing Kevin Martin to Andre Igoudala.

    3. Asik, flopping is not solid defense. This better not happen in the playoffs. He can get really clumsy against other fast, athletic teams. In situations where he's just fumbling the ball, and the defense is breaking down anyways, just keep Greg Smith & D-Mo on the floor.

Asik's rebounds are important. But you've got to be able to catch the ball without fumbling it, and just finish or at least get a foul out of it. Way too many turnovers and bad plays from him for under the basket.

Greg Smith is going to be crucial for the Rockets going into the playoffs. In the playoffs, they won't call those ticky-tack fouls in favour of Harden. The defense will tighten up, and if the 3s don't fall it'll be bad for the Rockets. If Smith has a couple big games, it could make all the difference in Round 1.

I noticed this in the 2nd quarter. After he got a dunk in, he hobbled up the quart looking tired as hell.

I think I even posted about it earlier in the thread lol

It was over way before that, Harden was getting alot of calls, and we were hot from 3. Defense was terrible from the get go and that's how this team wins, D and transition.

    Calm down son.

Yea and what were they doing when they had a 12-4 lead? The same stuff. We threw in the towel and the exploited it. Long shot winning when your C and SG can't even drag their feet on the court so just rest them and look on.

    This was no big deal.
