We have a chance against the Nuggets in a series. Against the Spurs? Not a chance.

For some reason at this point I feel we could compete with anyone except the Heat...

we've been right there in the 4th quarter with a lead on the nuggets. Some bad rotations got us ambushed in 2 of those 3 games. but everyone is more seasoned, coaching staff included, we would definitely crush the nuggets.
the spurs are the spurs. they'll toy with our emotions only to rip our hearts out and then feeding them to the big girls of san antonio. =(
stay away from the spurs and okc.

Gallinari is the real floor spacer.

Iguodala and Brewer really aren't good shooters. Wilson chandler is having a good year this season, but prior to this season he too was a bad shooter.

I think we could sag off their wing players.

Pop and the Spurs will gameplan us to death in a 7 game series.

But with Manu out, i would much rather face them than OKC.

Our best scenario to get to the WCF is to face the Spurs first at the 2nd seed, since Parker and Ginobli will get healthier by the 2nd round, and thus more dangerous. Beat them, and hopefully we'll get Denver at the 3rd seed, after they knock off Golden State in a grueling 7 game series. Without Gallo, we could beat them, and then would face OKC in the WCF, where we get crushed, heh

i'm torn on this one because we have beaten the spurs but for some reason can't seem to beat the nuggets. the spurs can go either way. it's like you either get them on a bad night we can win but then most of their players are so annoying and some unknown usually will come off the bench and score like 38 or 40 points.

Check back after tonight. Rockets win - many will say "Bring 'em on!". Rockets lose - "Ehh I don't know."

We could take the Spurs in a close series, but I'd rather not chance it because everyone knows that Pop will destroy McHale in all aspects of coaching. Not really a shot, but Greg is arguably the best coach in the NBA and has been over the last decade. How often do you find a a coach that has winning seasons with an aging roster with chronic injuries and bench players that become household names after developing in the Spurs system?

I hate the Spurs, but I respect their coaching staff. Shoot, I'd wager that Pops is a better coach than Phil Jackson, despite the difference in championships. Anyway, our biggest mismatch against the Spurs does not involve the players.

McHale would resort to having Carlos guarding Timmy, simply to spread the floor. :p

Our worst possible matchup, to me, is Memphis. ZBo and Marc will destroy us at the PF spot. Omer can hold his own, but he is the only legit center we have. This is where I miss Pat Pat. TRob does not have the experience to guard high-calibur forwards. He falls for every fake imaginable, and his offensive game is risky. Those drives to the basket are rarely successful. They're a charge waiting to happen.

I'm hoping for Denver. With their injuries and lack of a final "takeover" type of player, they're just as unpredictable as our team.

James is smart enough to find ways to score over Iggy in a 7 game series.

I'm telling you though, Francisco Garcia is going to come up big for us this post-season. Those corner threes with he and Carlos are going to be crucial.

I'm happy that we're about the make a playoff appearance after the drought. We should have been there last year, and we could have made some noise with our mix of youth, strong PGs like Klow and Goran and consistent scoring from Scola, but we were sabotaged during that final losing streak. Our coaching staff evidenced a lack of, well, logic.

I'm hoping our players, from our starters down to our good ol AB, get to control their own playoff destiny.

We need to sneak into the 6th position if we want a chance at the 2nd round.

Denver isn't going to make it to the 2nd round with those injuries (if Lawson is out). With Lawson out we certainly get the edge. Watching those old games it was Gallo that was always huge for them from 3. After tonight's game I think everybody will be sure.

The correct answer is Spurs. The Nuggets are very deep and remember Memphis beat them a few years back when SA was the top seed and Ginobili was out.

Not just Gallo. Their frontline was destroying ours.

Yea because they were such a 3pt threat and spaced the floor so well. They were close games up untill the end of the 4th even with that.

I think we have a chance with either team. The Spurs seem off right now. I've been watching a few of their games and Parker just hasn't been getting it together. It's really a toss up but if I had to pick one I'd say nuggets.

    not Denver~
they have tie breaker and Denver is a difficult place to play due to the altitude which makes player hardly to breath especially when you play really fast. And they have the best home records (better than the heats).
    don't like it~
