Remember this is playing currently in the NBA.

Given: Nash - Kobe - KG - Etc.

But what about guys like: D Wade -Bosh - Durant - Etc.

As of right now are they HOF quality? Will they be?

    Give your break down...

Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Bosh, Durant, Westbrook (mostly from being w/ Durant and winning a ring or 2), KG, Nash, Pau Gasol, Dirk, Ray Allen, Melo, Rose, Pierce, Duncan, Parker, Gino, CP3, Dwight,

Very likely barring injury, but haven't proven yet:
Irving, Harden, George, Anthony Davis, Curry, Love

Some possible depending on team success:
    Wall, Lawson, Marc Gasol

That second category contains some very, very young people. I wouldn't say very likely for any of those players just yet. Not even Harden or Irving.

Jason Kidd is a lock to get in.

I think Billups will/should eventually get in as well.

Already accomplished enough to warrant entry:
Kobe, Dirk, Ray, Paul Pierce, KG, Duncan, Kidd, Nash, Lebron, Wade

Virtual shoe-in if their careers continue on the current path:
Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Bosh, Melo, Durant, Tony Parker

    Too early to tell:
Harden, Rose, Curry, Love, Westbrook, Irving

    Borderline:
Vince Carter - He probably makes it. His peak was pretty high up there and his cumulative scoring numbers are very good.
Chauncey Billups - He just misses the cut. Great player and leader, just doesnt have good enough numbers.
Grant Hill - I would say no considering he wasn't quite able to hit some of the usual career milestones, but at his peak he was amazing and if they let Ralph Samson in, they should let in Grant.
Pau Gasol - 50/50, 2 titles as the secondary piece for a mini-dynasty with good career numbers. I think he still has a few good years left in him to get to some career milestones
Manu - I think he makes it. Stellar Olympic career and 3 titles as a main contributor for a dynasty
Antawn Jamison - MAYBE. He has surprisingly good cumulative numbers (Over 19,900 points). He was probably hoping being a contributor on this years Laker team would help if they won a title but that out of the question now. Despite some slight injury issues early in his career he has been a model of consistency for most of his career. I can see him sneaking in after many, many tries.

I do c Manu being a wild card

He has won on every level of basketball.

The HOF is not just for NBA players but all basketball persons so for that reason he will probably make it.

Also everyone always forgets about Dirk. He is pretty much a shoe in as well.

Out of that list, I'm pretty sure Ginobili and Gasol will make it. Carter is likely to make it in because of Vinsanity. I feel Billups should eventually make it. His advanced stats numbers are actually very good (which may be considered more in the future), and he was a Finals MVP. Likely not first-ballot, but I think he'll get in at some point.

Jamison doesn't have a good case, IMO. Some nice individual stats, but not enough team success.

    Locks if they retired tomorrow:
    Duncan
    Kobe
    Garnett
    Pierce
    Allen
    Kidd
    Nash
    LeBron
    Wade
    Dirk

    Borderline:
    Grant Hill
    Ginobili
    Parker
    Gasol
    Billups

    Locks, barring major injury:
    Paul
    Durant
    Dwight

    On a HOF trajectory:
    Rondo
    Westbrook
    Carmelo
    Rose

DWill and Bosh could also get there depending on how their careers unfold. I don't think Vince will make it, personally.

Yea that's why I added the barring injury note.

Basketball isn't like baseball, once you are good, you are good unless you get hurt. Baseball you can be good 1 year and then be completely terrible the next (lincecum).

That's why I think they'd be locks if they don't get hurt.

HOF also takes into account college, he was a spectacular college player so I can see him getting in quite easily.

Pay Gasol isn't borderline. He's an absolute 100% lock as much as any current player.

Look at the international players in the hall (and mostly guys that played with European national teams and/or in Euroleague).....

    Drazen Dalipagic
    Oscar Schmidt
    Sergey Belov
    Kresimir Cosic
    Arvydas Sabonis
    Drazen Petrovic
    Dino Meneghin

and then the ones that they are saying will be inducted:

    Sarunas Marciolionis
    Vlade Divac
    Nikos Galis

Although Pau Gasol's international career obviously isn't as good as any of those players was in truth, it's still within range of them. Then add in that he's one of the best international players ever in the NBA, and it's pretty much guaranteed that he's going to the hall of fame.

Most NBA fans don't understand it, but his work with Spanish national team is significantly more impressive than what Manu has done with Argentina.

Gasol's total career resume is right up there with Dirk's.

Pau would make it on FIBA career alone, every past FIBA player with a similar list of achievements is in Naismith. He's arguably the most accomplished international player since Sabonis.

Lawson, Wall, Marc Gasol? Can't see a way any of them make it.

I actually wonder if Lin makes it on "impact on the league"
