    GI Joe - 6/10

About what I expected. The action scenes in the mountains were totally freaking cool, my favorite parts. The chick was smoking hot too. That scene with the groceries... daaaaamn.

I'd rate it about the same. Bruce Willis makes it a 6.5/10 in my book.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was a major disappointment for me. Would have seemed better if the Lord of the Rings movies weren't out there already.

For the record, I'm not into Tolkien at all but enjoyed Lord of the Rings. To me, the Hobbit was warmed-over, non-original but well executed.

Waaaay too long. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was (somehow) I forgot it was just the first of three. I snapped back to reality at the end.

You give up 2 hours and 50 minutes of your time for a non-ending. Very unsatisfying.

21 Jump Street: 6.5/10 I actually thought it was decent, corny one-liners and all...

Between this and Les Miserables, LM was the far worse offender in the excessive length department.

    GI Joe 2 - 3/10

Where are the original cast? I mean i didn't watch the trailer or read something about the movie but it was really disappointing.
Snake eyes and white mamba(forgot his name) became BFF? Seriously?? I did wait for some more action between them.. Also, it seems like the first movie is more advanced in technology than the second one..smh
... The girl is super hot though..

I keep remembering that the old cartoon was like a 2 night special
I cannot imagine how much 'filler' will be in these movies

Can't blame Les Miserables though. It's directly based on previous material, so they couldn't really alter that kind of stuff in terms of length.

Django Unchained was great. 9/10. Too many reasons why to mention but I'll single out Samuel L. Jackson. He was awesome and should get an Oscar. I didn't expect to find so much humor in this movie but SLJ had me laughing out loud. He was just about perfect.

Skyfall: I'm no James Bond fan at all, but this was very good. 8/10

    Rise of the Guardians: 7/10

Life of Pi: Didn't know what to expect and it wasn't my kind of film. Could have been shorter. 5/10

    Glengarry Glen Ross - 10/10

i rewatched this movie today and still blown away at the great cast and performances. it's best known for the alec baldwin speech but the whole movie is just...wow. i can't get enough of the second part when the cops areinvestigating the robbery. it seemed like one long continuous 30 minute shot. al pachino, jack lemon, ed harris, kevin spacey. each and every one of them delivered.

Showed it to the wife a few weeks ago, really amazing film.

Room 237 – I’m a massive Kubrick fanboy so this documentary was utterly fascinating if off the wall. The crackpot theories are fun to listen to and some of these people sounds about as far removed from reality as possible. Listening to them connect the dots and grasp at straws is like taking a walking tour through the mind of a crazy person. A tad overlong but still lots of fun for movie lovers. B+

I walked out on Olympus Has Fallen.

    The story lines were terrible.

    *spoiler*
Once they killed 200 Secret Service agents I just couldn't find any fun in it.
