Seems like Parsons over exerted himself after coming back from his food poisoning incident. Health-wise the most reliable starters this season are Lin and Asik.

I keep seeing these minor injuries kept players out for a game or two. It looks like that the Rockets don't have a GOOD acupuncturist on staff. I am a CA licensed acupuncturist for over 12 years. This is what I would do:

To treat a moderate or minor stained calf, needle the center of the middle digit of palmar side of little finger, plus UB 60 kunlun and UB65 shugu(google it). All on the injured side. Massage the calf for a few minutes, remove the needle on ub 60, let patient move the calf by moving the ankle. The strained should be resolved in minutes. NO ICING. If this doesn't work, I have more strategies.

In place of needling, they can try acupressure by using the tip of a ball point pen over a piece of tightly knit fabric to avoid puncturing of skin. It is not as effective, but what do you got to lose?

    Ridiculous post.

Actually he seems to like the entire team, I don't think he's an "X"OF.

I know you guys may think this sounds crazy, but acupuncture is the real deal. I literally hobbled into a acupuncture appointment on crutches (severely sprained ankle), and walked out on my two feet. I thought it was all BS beforehand, too.

That said, I'd still rather have Parsons rest with or without acupuncture treatment.

They likely also do not have a witch doctor, alchemist or homeotherapist on staff, either.

We're just going to play Parsons every other game and average 30 points ;)

back pain--You need to tell me exactly where it is. Upper/ lower? on the spine? 1" or 2"...from the spine?
For shoulder pain, if it is frozen shoulder, that is complicated and I won't give you the strategies here.

for other shoulder pain, if it is in the joint(not frozen shoulder), do Spleen 9 ashi, opposite side. needle or acupressure (ball point pen over a piece of blue jean or some fabric like that.)
Spleen 9 ashi--ashi means the spot(s) that is(are) tender, sore, or painful. google "acupuncture sp9" (medial side, inside the curve of tibia head) and find some tender spots near that vicinity. have someone press on those spots and you move your arm/shoulder gently around, the pain should subside somewhat.

If the pain is in trapezius, use same side (as the pain) sanjiao 4 zhongzhu, opposite side kidney 3 taixi. Have someone press on those points and you can massage and stretch your trap . Pain should subside.

To do acupressure with ball point pen tip, again, use common sense, don't puncture the skin or cut off the blood circulation. I would press for a min or 2, then move around about 1/8", so I don't keep pressing on the same spot. Meanwhile it is important to massage, move, stretch the pain area at the same time. Pain should subside and ROM should improve.
If it is not appropriate, please delete this post.

Hopefully Parsons takes it easy. I think we can win a majority of our remaining games without him, so hopefully he doesn't feel the need to rush back. Need everyone healthy in the playoffs.
