TJones seems more like a Small Forward to me. If he continues to develop, I think we should move Parsons to the bench next season. Would be better for us wins wise(defense, rebounding, finishing in transition) and perhaps let us re sign Parsons at a reasonable rate. As it stands now, he's going to get WAY more money than we should pay for him.
You have got to be kidding me. Parsons is the second most talented player on the team. No way he goes to the bench and now way Jones would be better at any of the things you mentioned.
Well if you actually saw the last game you'd notice there's nothing "slow mo" about his game. He runs the court faster than anybody we have. If he does that and gets his shot, he'll be a very solid NBA player. Given time, he'll probably outperform anybody we have at that position
Jones actually looks bigger than I remember him in college. Not to mention very long arms, and a knack for grabbing offensive boards. Sounds like a perfect fit to me.
While I will be shocked (shocked, I say) if DM the GM doesn't get an established solid 4 for this squad over the summer, it is 'known truth', fact, even, that (a) there is exponential growth for NBA players between years 1 and 2 as well as years 2 and 3 I like the upside of our bottomless pit of 4s. I also just gotta say that it's exciting that this team is on the precipice of the playoffs but I want to be excited about being on the precipice of being a true June contender!
While TRob may be fast enough to defend a three (at least a bigger 3), I don't think you want him playing three offensively unless the four is really an outside shooter. Plus... do you really want him chasing shooters on the 3 line, or have him down low rebounding and blocking shots?
You are a very good poster, but you may need a visit to the local optometrist. Jones is a big dude. Long 6'9", 252 lbs.
The next Donyell Marshall? I loved Donyell, but let's hope for more. Hope Jones puts in the hard work to get the results.
This is what I hate about McHale. Always whining about situations that he is lucky to have. T Jones was a desperation move that he went to because no other player has stepped up. That is a luxury that most coaches don't have. Clearly he hated the PPat and Morris trades and blames management for making his job harder and that is fine to have that opinion. Just shut up and keep it to yourself. The Rockets are fortunate to have one of the best coaching staffs in the league. Across the board Bickerstaff, Finch, Cooper and Sampson are excellent. Unfortunately McHale isn't the best on this staff. He is fortunate to be surrounded by a great supporting staff that makes him look good. T Jones has been there the whole time and has had the same skills the whole time. He is a little more ready because of his DLeague stints but he has been ready for a while. McHale didn't have to wait this long. He put himself in this spot. And even now McHale is having to be force fed T Jones. Morey is tweeting with utter joy about Terrence and Mchale is in agony. Quite a contrast there. Still can't complain at least McHale is not like that Rutger's a s s hole jerk of a coach, yanking on players and shoving them in huddles and screaming like a f$#@ing jerk at them.
