I agree with your statement. The pressure is on for the moment and we are actually hearing the media report on this. However, if the pressure doesn't have an effect quickly, it won't at all.

Yep, and I also think that even though we (Astros) are so bad right now, baseball still puts more pressure to get a deal done than the Rockets simply because it is basically an everyday "program". The Rockets have played 3 games per week for about the past month and will do the same the rest of the way, The Astros will play 6 or 7 games a week. So even if the Rockets ratings were Double what the Astros ratings are, that would be a break even deal as far as advertising goes.

Update just in case AT&T is trying to get over on anyone else. When I called to "cance;", they gave me:

    - $100 credit
    - $31 off TV per month for a year
    - $10 off internet per month for a year
    - free HD for a year
    - HBO/Cinemax for 3 months

I called today to "cancel" because my HBO promotion is about to end. They told me the last person I spoke to put me on a CONTRACT for a year to get those discounts, and the fee to get out of the contract is $180 (decreases each month you stay). So if they gave you something call back and make sure they didn't sneak a contract in on you.

When they cut my bill by $40/month and gave me every channel they have, I was fine with signing a one year contract.

So Comcast Sportsnet is arguing about money...wonder how much money they're spending advertising/bashing providers on every major radio station in Houston, as well as the advertisements on the local television channels. Now they're spending more cash on hiring flyovers?

Not certain they know where their priorities should be. Unless of course the whole idea is just a front to get people to think more highly of Comcast compared to the other providers, and use it as a bait to switch. Then it seems to make sense.

If Comcast is flying banners over MMP then I'm guessing the two sides aren't very close. :/

They should hire pilots who have another provider so they would fly for free in order to actually see the game.

    Entouch CSC

I called Entouch and Comcast Sportsnet was sending them the wrong signal. They had to call CSN to ask that it get changed, which took most of the 1st qtr. Comcast Cable, apparently, had the correct feed the whole time.

    Update is no update.

"It's terrible all the fans can't watch the games right now. We're working hard on something that would resolve the issue. I don't have anything to announce yet but we think something will break here soon. We hope it doesn't go deep into the season." - Jimmy (at Moody Park this morning)
