I had to buy a straight talk phone. i had a 3g phone for 100 from another brand. i now have an 80 dollar LG and its much better hardware and software wise. it has a sturdier screen and it's. faster. magnifying the screen is easier and its keyboard is smarter . i swear the memory is the same

I have had a terrible experience with LG when it comes to cell phones.

I have several of their TV's and they're okay but I will NEVER buy an LG Android phone again, and you shouldn't either. I don't know much of their non-android devices.

My daughter would disagree regarding their TVs. She has had nothing but trouble with her first, its' replacement and its' replacement.

This is the only LG product I've ever had and it was pretty worthless haha.

I have an LG TV, dishwasher and fridge. I am very happy with all three. I had an LG phone which I had no issues with. I really like the picture on my TV and have recommended the brand to my friends.

I have had an LG air conditioner and a dvd player, both of which did not last too long.

I have 3 LG TVs a 26in LCD/Monitor, a 40in LCD and 55in LED, all have worked out perfectly. I use to work at an electronics store about 2 years ago and at the time, LG quality on LEDs was as good if not better than Samsung and at a fraction of the cost.

I also remember their washer/dryer merchandise to be top of the line too.

Cannot speak to any of their other products.

I've been happy with my LG fridge, 2 LG TVs, and everything else I've purchased that's made by LG.

We had an LG plasma, till it was stolen.

    Never had any issues.

I will NEVER buy a Toshiba again though.

I have an LG 42" LCD TV (for the seXBox) and a cheap LG blu ray. Both are less than a year old, but no problems so far.

I have heard mixed reviews over LG appliances. I'll just stick to TVs and blu ray players when it comes to LG.

I have two 55" LG LED's at my house and couldn't be happier with them. I will only by LG TV's in the future. First TV I bought was a Toshiba and Uprising said it all. IT WAS WORTHLESS.

I did have an LG phone back in the day before smart phones were available. That thing had been dropped numerous times on concrete, dropped in water, dropped in mud and even had beer spilled on it and it never stopped working (of course I had to let it dry out for an hour or so). It was indestructible.

Does anybody happen to know what 'LG' stands for?

    I do :)

Hint: no, it is NOT 'Life is Good' - that is merely an attempt at re-branding.

It's actually pretty amazing what that company has managed to do, and very very few companies have managed it, specifically referring to the re-branding issue.

    Bingo!

    Lucky Goldstar

Makers of the crappiest, cheapest, bottomest-of-the-barrel junk electronics. Think 'Broksonic', or 'Sampo', brands like that. Piece of crap window fans, miniature air conditioners, and the flimsiest VCRs you ever saw.

'LG' has managed to completely escape their junk reputation and actually become a reasonably good manufacturer. Not quite Samsung, but Samsung was never a bottom-feeder like Lucky Goldstar was.

However, that said, I would not touch an LG phone with a 20-foot pole.
