that's one thing about playing at kentucky...you learn to pass the ball without whining....unless you're john wall or cousins...message got lost somehow that year.
This is the most complete game I had seen all year. Everyone contributed. I think the turning point was DeMarcus Cousins foul trouble in the early second half. Although, he's got alot of growing up to do, boy can he do it all. If he get's his head straight, I would love to have him as a rocket.
I was worried that Harden would make the ball "sticky" but I was impressed with this passing this game. Everyone was swinging the ball quickly.
The turning point was Lin's late three, because it was all still a very winnable game for the Kings until that shot.
Harden needs to fully recover now. He'll be the difference if we are going to perform better in the playoffs or not.
With the Knicks Lin was drawing 5.2 fouls in 27 minutes. Now he is drawing 3.2 in 32 minutes. Huge drop off. I wish he would attack the basket more. Probably reluctant because of the injury.
He draws 5.4 fouls (I believe) when Harden is off the court. Doesn't have much to do with injury. Has a lot more to do with playing alongside James.
Are you serious? You don't think it has anything to do with going from the primary ball-handler on the Knicks to standing behind the 3 point line playing with James Harden? His usage rate went from over 30% during Linsanity to just over 20% now. His reduction in foul drawing is directly proportional to how often he has the ball on offense.
There's no need to attack the basket when it's not needed. When you attack the basket, you are more injury prone. Let him do it only when situation requires it. Lin improving his shooting is imperative if he's to prolong his career. I still believe that Harden is still the best thing that happened to Lin. They both benefit greatly when they can share the load. I wish Harden can recover in time for the playoffs.
It's hard to draw fouls if what you do all day is just bring up the ball and then pass it off, if even that.
Agreed. When you need to jump high and have to fall back down, especially the way Lin tends to fall, probably not good for longevity. Play smart and attack only when necessary.
He doesn't get as many calls in Houston. There are so many times when he gets hacked and there's no call. It becomes no blood no foul at times.
McHale should really make a decision now, either to limit JH minutes, till he fully recovers or keep him bench unless its really necessary for him to get in for a win. In longer run, if he is not healthy, its gonna hurt the team. We have cisco and TJ to helpout during the interim.
