Any other random, utterly wrong arguments against McHale you like to point out?
Solid stuff tonight by Mchale. Putting T Jones in the lineup was a good move. Subbing could still use a lot of improvement though. Leaves bad lineups in for a little too long in my opinion.

And FYI before you butt in why don't you try to understand the argument first. I wasn't arguing against McHale. In fact I wasn't even speaking about McHale in the first place. Good lord.
I don't think that was his aim. Just like he managed to pull out some data for some well known players showing no correlation , you did too. The fact is that it is an illogical claim tbh. There are a lot of things you can attribute inexperience , youth to but not back to backs. In fact (and you can't argue with this here) its the older players that usually do bad on back to backs because they wear down. Younger players don't really have an excuse.
The bolded part of his statement was probably the lynch pin to this argument... You know, the argument about being tired, and the fact that those other guys (not the ones you listed...) play more minutes than Jeremy. I'm sure you could find a litany of guys who play like **** with no rest, but how many of them are younger, less experienced, and play more than Jeremy? His point (I'm thinking) is that youth and inexperience are not reasons that people generally are inconsistent on back-to-backs. Rather, being easily fatigued is a tangible reason for people to struggle on back-to-backs.
Good job tonight in this game by McHale. I still have to criticize him for Harden's minutes. He started playing rookies a bit late into the season (it took a big trade to force his hand) but at least we can finally see them play. Then again, he might have been told to play Mook and 2Pat as much as possible before the deadline for a final decision. I give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. Hope he keeps this up and stops being the negative X factor on this team.
I always thought the issue with Jeremy was part coaches and part himself. Coaches fail to utilize his skills and play calls for him and at times he failed to perform when he got the chance. Remember how he was chucking without conscience at one time, trying to prove something to McHale after getting benched questionably in a game he was playing well. The opposite is also true; there were a few games where he was given a longer leash and he failed to perform. There seems to be a mutual trust and support these days (the only good thing that came out of Harden's injury; hope he heals soon). I am sure it is one of the reasons why he seems to be more in sync with the team.
How was it illogical. Lin is all over the place this season. Some games he looks great & some games he looks awful. To try to attribute his poor play on back to backs to poor stamina doesn't ring true to me considering that any intelligent & focused athlete (who was in Lin's situation last year with the Knicks) would have been working to improve his stamina in the off season & according to the coaching staff & Lin himself (he said as much on multiple occasions) he DID. I am not really interested in arguing this anymore because neither of us knows the truth. And the easiest way to find out the answer is to ask. So when next Rocketscast happens I will ask Jason, very simple solution. If I am wrong I will OPENLY admit to being incorrect. I have no problem admitting I was mistaken but right now I don't think I am.
Yea, you are right neither of us can prove we are right. The thing is, you are going off of speculation--a claim about Jeremy working hard in the off season on condition so there should be no reason it would be fatigue. The alternative explanation I'm providing is the most logical and evident one. Whenever somebody brings up the fact that a team has played a back to back they aren't hinting at the fact the team is young or inexperienced. The MAIN thing they imply is that this team is fatigued and worn out. I don't think we are arguing on the same thing because that is pretty much impossible refute. That being said I'll it at that.
I am not going off of speculation I am going off of fact. Lin said it two times. Once in his press conference when he signed as a rocket & another time when training camp started. McHale also said as much also. So my question to you then is if Lin does suffer from stamina issues why wouldn't the coaching staff have said as much in the numerous interviews they do post game & during practice & shoot around? After all both McHale & Morey have been extremely open about Omers conditioning problems. And after all both McHale & Morey have been open about the other areas that Lin needs to improve upon as well, turnovers & shooting so why would they not say that. That is why I said when Rocketscast happens I will ask Jason Friedman because I don't think it is particularly egregious of me to take McHale & Lin at there word.
Just curious why you picked the 2 well known PG's that play zero defense? I would be more interested in the numbers of PG's that play both ends of the floor as they expend far more energy than offense only players.
Lmao those guys carry their teams on offense and initiate a crap load more than Jeremy"Stand in corner" Lin.
That was before he was 100% though? Post clearly says "it took him a while to get back to 100%. He's there now". Sorry I am not a subscriber so I can't read the story. I would assume that that was a quote from earlier in the season when Lin wasn't as quick as he is now because of the injury. But very interesting nonetheless this certainly supports what durvassa said. Repped for the find.
