why, is he such a clear MVP type? he's marginal at best and clearly below LeBron and Durant.

you deleted the sentence where he pretty much says that Pierce, Gallo and Deng are the worst on his list despite being listed at 2, 3 and 4. so... :p

I don't think Parsons is a top 10 talent. I completely understand why he was drafted in the 2nd round. That said, he does more with his talent than most small forwards. The anti-Rudy Gay. For his performance on court, I'd rank him around 8-13 depending on what you want out of your SF.

Why is Durant a clear MVP type? He's clearly below LeBron.

    SUPER STARS
    1. LeBron James
    2. Kevin Durant
    ----------------------

    MULTIPLE ALL STAR
    3. Carmelo Anthony
    4. Paul George
    -----------------------

    BORDERLINE ALL STAR
    5. Paul Pierce
    6. Luol Deng
    7. Danillo Galinari
    8. Chandler Parsons
    9. Andre Iguodala
    10. Nicolas Batum
    ----------------------

    LONG TIME STARTERS
    11. Gordon Hayward
    12. Rudy Gay
    13. Ersan Llysaova

Chandler Parsons is a pretty good player. He will never reach the level of the top tier players, but there is no reason he cannot be on the level of a Detlef Schrempf.

Take off the Parson blinders! Yes he had a great run this year when he went on 9 game hot streak shooting over 50% from behind the arc and averaged over 20 points a game. Yes he was so hot in 1 game he had me thinking this kid shoots like Larry Bird. But you have to put that in contrast with the next 9 games after where he shot 25% from behind the arc with an average of around 13 points. The question is who is the real Parsons. And imo he is closer to the last 9 games and not the previous 9 before that. And if that is the case, for right now I have him ranked behind Sergi Garcia. If he can't shoot 3's or is afraid to shoot threes then he hurts this team. Yeah he plays good D even sometimes great but all that does is help dig us out of the hole he put us in because of his poor or inconsistent outside shooting. You can see now his hesitation to shoot on all but the most open 3's.

This team absolutely must have a confident 3 point shooting SF and right now Parsons is not that. So I put him behind Garcia. Right now I would rather see Garcia start in front of him and he can be or stopper/utility guy that still gets 30 minutes but is assigned to play the opposing teams hot guy and that is determined on a nightly basis. Right now Garcia appears to be more confident and even appears to be able to create his own shot a little. Which brings up another point which is all the guys you have listed above Parsons can create their own shot at least somewhat. Even guys like Batum, Iguodala who you left off the list are better.

Admittedly I could be wrong and he could be just having a bad run and really is closer to the hot shooting Chandler that we saw earlier this year. But even if that is not true he is just a 3 point shot away from being a top ten SF in this league. If he can shoot 40% from behind the arc he becomes much more valuable even if he can't create his own shot. And I do believe Parsons has a great work ethic and will only get better. But right now anyone who ranks him in the top ten for SF's is not really looking across the league. He is just not as good as many on here think but he is young and if he gets his shot down and bulks up a little, he might be even better than you think at some point.

    How is Batum better?

Their production is virtually identical and Parsons can play the 4. Defensively they are a wash and Batum makes far more money.

Well, I'm assuming you mean now, not including past seasons.

    1. James
    2. Durant
    3. Anthony
    4. George
    5. Batum
    6. Young

    7. Parsons

    8. Deng (stats aren't that good this year)
    9. Hayward (kind of a SG/SF, no hes not better than parsons... now or future...)
    10. Gay (having a terrible year)

Sure, but i'm not going to make a million tiers.

Durant is closer to current LeBron than Rose was to the 2011 version of LeBron. And he'd be MVP in many years. Melo to me is in the same tier as Harden or Kobe or Westbrook. There's a bigger gap between those guys and Durant than between Durant and LeBron. So, i'm grouping Durant and LeBron. And in the end, the topic is Chandler Parsons, and Parsons is clearly not on Durant and LeBron levels, so who the heck cares if I group Durant and LeBron together or put them separately? Make your own damn lists. :p

Parsons is shooting 38% from the three point line, and it isnt a matter of sample size as Parsons shoots over 5 a game. Very few small forwards getting heavy minutes shoot it better from the 3 point line, and with the amount he takes.

Parsons is not a year in and year out all star, but he is pretty solid and can do a lot of things that fit our system.

Top 10. He has high BBIQ, which separates him from some of the others who may have better/same stats as him.

Bull****. Defensively Batum is All-NBA team good. have you not watched him play against us this season? Money doesn't factor is this thread because the OP didn't ask for the best value.

only james, durant, carmela, george and pierce, who is 10000 years old are ahead of parsons. he continues to improve. Very underrated but all true analysts around the league know his name. HOWEVER!!, BOXSCORE GUYS, LIKE STEPHEN A, HAVE NO CLUE!!
