Average SF with an elite contract.

Yeah but he has know Jlin or Harden so sometimes he's forced to create his shot. Heyward wouldnt miss all those open shots that Parsons tends to miss.

He's going to show the world he is on Kevin Durant's level.

The numbers say that Hayward is a more frequent scorer. 19.2 points/75poss versus 15.8 points/75poss for Chandler. He also has a slightly higher assist% (14.9% versus 14.4%).

Parsons is a bit more efficient, gets more rebounds, and is probably a better defender.

Tier 1 (MVP caliber) - LaBrawn, Durant

Tier 2 (legit all stars) - Melo, George, Paul Pierce

Tier 3 (borderline all stars) - Deng, Iguodala (if you still count him as 3), Gallo, Batum, Kirilenko

Tier 4 (solid starters) - Kawhi Leonard, Gay, Parsons, Hayward (if you count him as 3), T-Prince, etc

So, i think he's somewhere ~15, maybe as high as 12.

Not higher than Gordon Hayward. I would take Hayward any day if their salaries were the same.

Average(anywhere 15-25), and he'll get paid big in a couple years. It means he may improve some in the near future, but his value wouldn't be higher as he's approaching his payday.

What is that you? Who the hell in their ****ing mind will argue Rudy Gay is better than Parsons?

Also all the guys in your list are making significantly more money than Parsons. Honestly, apart from George I think he's the best non-franchise SF in the league (and tbh I think George will be top 3 sf soon). Pierce, Deng, Melo, Granger, AI etc. are all a bit better than Parsons, but all of them make like 30x Parson's salary but at the same are a tier or two below LBJ and KD. Granger and Deng's injury prone, Pierce and AI are old, and Melo doesn't know how to share the ball.

Parsons oth is the ideal glue you want next to your franchise player because he can do a little bit of everything.

Unless your list of 1-8 is not in order, putting LeBron at #5? Really?

You're underestimating what Parsons brings to the table. First of all guys like him who can defend the other team's best wing and still score 10-20 pts consistently don't exactly grow on trees. Look at the guys people are listing, Granger/Gallo/Chandler are all making 10-12M a year while Pierce/Melo/Gay/LBJ/KD are making max money.

I think Parsons will get paid, but I'm hoping he signs in the 7-9M range, which would make him a total bargain for the stuff he brings to the table.

The question is about talent, not contract. Contract is irrelevant in this discussion.

    LeBron, Durant, Melo.

Again, salary is irrelevant. We are judging the player, not the contract.

He is a SF, he role on his team is to get the buckets.
