So Monday's movement wasn't anywhere near where you needed, Jim. Neither were negotiations for over six months. Yet you decided to tell the media last night you were hopeful? As far as switching carriers, the vast majority of the Astros' geographic footprint can't switch to Comcast even if they were willing. It's not offered, Jim. Both sides of guilty of plenty of PR bull****, but this may take the cake.
Absolute public relations BULLSH!T!!! Stop with the lies Crane, you're looking out for nĂºmero uno, not the paying public!
Is there anyone with CSN who knows what Jim Crane is saying in his interview right now? Apparently he's being interviewed during pregame
Probably what he already said. Talks at a standstill. Thought we had a little "progress" yesterday. Everyone is working hard to get a deal done but the deal needs to be right for us. Blah blah blah...
Translation: They still won't pay our price. We keep asking and they keep saying no. Buckle up fellas. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
This should really get demand going! If you don't have CSN Houston, you won't be able to see the best pitching performances in baseball history by the Astros' opponents!
It's situations like this that make me wonder why the **** I'm emotionally invested in sports teams. It's a business, like any other. Why would anyone believe ownership gives a rats behind about fan bases that follow blindly, regardless of them raising ticket prices, raising concession prices, locking out teams on television, locking out teams period... If sports fans were smart, they'd just support whatever team is winning that year, forcing the bad teams to bust their ass to get it in gear. I'm starting to think it's the bandwagoners that have it right.
This is so ****ing stupid. I think we're at the point of no return & a deal is never going to get done like the Blazers or it won't be for another 3+ years. I'm used to watching ****ty ass streams online anyway.
After hearing yesterdays interview. It just it what it is. What just irked me the most was the fact they keep stressing content. That FSN did very little in the way of providing that. Its a great selling point, but really? Who give a flying flip about the post game interviews. CSN Cribs episode for Houston players. And the other stuff? We just want to get home, and watch the team. All the other stuff isn't secondary to mast any fan. Especially in this age of social media, and internet content. So from the 790 interview form yesterday, it now see it as they, as a collective; Astros and Rockets with CSN. Are shoving all this content along with the games, under a rival providers brand, and trying to sell this to the other providers. Its economics. Its a free market. Its Supply and demand. And they suck at it.
thats funny! But just fyi...i followed the lead of others here and complained to att...and got upgraded to their best back for cable (all spots channels!!! ) and internet for free and a free month. so im kinda happy assuming this csn deal gets done soon
I am not a Directv apoligist, but I hate the lies the CSN people are spreading - when they say, "your provider stopped covering local teams and still charges you the same" WRONG!! I get $20 a month off my bill because they don't show the games. Think about that - the providers would rather give $20 a month back to the people who complain, than pay the price CSN is asking... WTF is CSN asking for ?!?!?!
