Is there anybody that legitimately watches the whole game, every game?

I am just wondering because I attempted to do this the past two seasons but things got in the way. I have become a huge Astros fan and this happened gradually. I'm kinda a junkie because every day I look forward to the game. Anyway someone told me that a person who can watch every game has no life.

So, has anyone watched every game or at least attempted to do so?

I would estimate that I watch 100 games or so, pay attention and follow 50 games or so on my phone via MLB At Bat, and then miss 12 games or so and wait for box scores.

To want to watch every game of this team you have to be a masochist.

I have a feeling that people who make it out to every game are probably retired. When I retire this is something that I would want to do for a season.

Pre-children, I'd say I watched fully 80-90% of the games. Since I've had children, it's way down. I will actually get to watch more with the rise in games that start late once they get playing on the west coast...assuming there's a channel I can watch them on, of course.

Some people just love baseball that much.

One thing that often gets overlooked is that there are games nearly every day, and each day's games outcomes are largely determined by who is the starting pitcher.

Thus, fans of a .500 or better team can shake off a bad loss pretty fast to the point that it likely doesn't hinder them from watching the next game. Fans of a BAD team (like myself) likely watch the games either to see how a certain pitcher performs, or to try to catch a glimpse of the future.

If I could somehow find it in myself to erase all 37 Duck Dynasty recorded shows from my DVR, I might be able to sit through a few full games. Once we got a hit last night I quickly hit recorded TV and watched Si try to find his Vietnamese Dongs in his back yard.

I love baseball, and the Astros are my favorite pro sports franchise...but life is too busy to watch every inning of every game.

This. Baseball, to me, is the ultimate multi-task sport. I love to read, but with the kiddo, it's hard to find a lot of time to do that. Luckily my wife is unreal and doesn't mind my slipping away to the mancave to watch so with baseball, many times I'll have my book out too and read between batters/half-innings.

I watch most or all of every Astros game, unless the Rockets are playing. If there's another sporting event that I'm interested in, I'll flip back and forth or use PIP (Yes, people still use picture in picture).

Usually I will have the game on while I do other things around the house. If it looks like the Astros are about to have a big inning, I will stop whatever I am doing and actively watch it for awhile.

But that is what I love about Baseball, it's a very laid back game during the regular season. The playoffs are different though. When the Astros were in the playoffs, I would watch almost every pitch and it felt like the game hinged on every little play.

Unless you have a friend with a 70" HD TV that does the PIP side by side. March Madness was amazing with this set up.

I'm pretty sure I watched every single game back in '98. But that's the only time. It's gone downhill since then.

In '98 as a 13 year old I didn't miss a game once summer started (late May) through the end of the season. I don't think I've come anywhere close to that since then.

I probably haven't watched more than 20 or 30 full games in a season since '08.

Sometimes you are too busy. I didn't watch a single full game last season.

I've been watching nearly every game since 2000 when I got cable. 26yrs old now. The wonderful invention of DVR allowed this to be even more possible and not waste as much time. I record every game, then watch them later fast forwarding in between pitches. I can watch a 3 1/2 game in about an hour this way. If its a late game, I'll just watch it the next day and try not to listen to sports radio or read the sports sections. IT IS POSSIBLE, you just gotta love the game. My gf isn't too keen on it but I watch when she's busy with other stuff. I also record and watch EVERY Rockets game too. DIE HARD!

I normally watch around 60-75% of the games.

This year, probably will watch about 10%....whenever they are on tv.

Not even Bo Porter is going to do that this season.
