Big O had a career night yesterday, he matched his career high with 22 points and grabbed 18 rebs.

It's nice to see his improvement.

Jeremy Lin added 19 points and season-high-tying 11 assists,

Yes, I am a LOF but it's so much more apparent the Rockets players are willing to move off the ball because they know Jeremy will try to find them good looks. Loving the understanding Lin and Asik are developing together. I think it might be a good thing if Harden stays out a few more games so Lin can show what he can do in a true PG role. Harden gets a rest for the playoffs and Lin can be put on display and increase his value for a trade at the end of the season.

I'm trying to grasp the concept of being a fan of an individual from riding their nuts, for better or for worst, and yet, I can't come up with any conclusion on this matter. Sometime I read threads, and see similar traits that coincide with Justin Bieber fans. Meaning, it's ridiculousness, how can you put one player on top of a throne, and consider him god of basketball even if he hasn't played one full season? Basketball is a team sport, and one individual needs a roster full of other individuals to have game. Basic concept if you didn't know that already.
It's ok to be a fan, but when you start to idolizes a person, then we have a problems of ignorance and mental stabilizability.

This is a far-cry from everything I thought about Asik when he was with the bulls. He has semi- reliable post moves, can hit the jumper, and is a solid passer, both outlet and post passing.

Is it just me or does it seem like Lin's quick release shot has a entirely different form from his set shot? It seems his quick releases are more accurate too? Really hard to explain.

You got to be kidding. This game thrives on heroes and stars. This coming from a Laker fan I'm totally shocked. All I ever see at Staples (yes I go to games quite often having a corporate suite) are tons of Kobe fans. Same goes for Clipper games with fans that idolize Blake. I was at the game last night and fans we're calling to bring back Blake during the 4th. I'm one of those fans that just came to see him and could care less if the Clippers won or lost. It's that love for individual players that brings a full house to the arena. I'm sorry you don't understand that but to call out that there's mental stabilizability is just plan ignorant. The state of the NBA has always been a business and bandwagon fans (that follow individuals) are the catalyst.

damn if only lin played in the 4th! was killing it. I think omer really likes playing with Lin, Lin always feeds it to him. and I think smith likes Lin too. Lin will always try to run something for other players to get a chance to touch the ball.

This aspect is similar to the Linsanity stretch last year with the Knicks - Shumpert and Novak began to shine and Tyson, who was already fantastic, was even better with Lin feeding him.

But with Smith, it looks like both Lin and Harden like feeding him. :)

Damn, Where has that jumper been? McHale needs to start running plays for that b/c no one expects him to shoot it.

Dear God, this post makes no sense whatsoever. Where in my post did I put Lin up as a King upon a 'throne'. I make no bones about being a LOF but I'm not making any claims that he's some superstar basketball God. Lin is a good point guard but not a great one, yet. All I've advocated is that it would be better for the Rockets and Lin, if they parted company at the end of the season. Rockets want to run the offense mostly through Harden and that's a legitimate move but that leaves Lin in a secondary and sub-optimal role which I believe Lin deserves better. Best move for Lin is to move to a team which will allow him to to be the primary ball-handler, even if it's from the bench and playing with a secondary unit.

I don't know where you equate being a fan of an individual player as being indicative of lacking understanding and mental stability (yes, this was the word you were looking for, not the made up nonsense you wrote)

One good thing about Asik is his quick outlet pass. He always looks to immediately pass out after a defensive rebound (which he gets a ton). It fits well with our running game.

    Bill Walton 2.0, baby.

new theory: LOF = mental instability? Perhaps you could apply for government funded research for that hypothesis?
