If you look at the release on Asik's jumpers, they don't look half bad. He really should be shooting FTs in the 65-70% range. Perhaps it's a confidence thing or lack of rythm. But the guy isn't an impossible shooter.
Showing some Divac skills, but with way way way better D. Divac will always be light years better than Asik when it comes to the flop
Maybe Yao can give him some pointers, so that Asik may shoot it more from the coach. And Yao could definitely help with Asik's freethrows.

Watching him at the freethrow line, it looks like he doesn't have a set follow through. It's like he's aiming it into the basket and trying to decide how much strength to use(like the video games where you had that T-Bar lol), which is probably why he only makes them half the time, but when he does its a swoosh.
Call me crazy, but that jumpshot looked surprisingly smooth. I think that Asik can make those shots, if only he shoots in rythm. When he's standing at the free throw line, he doesn't have any rythm to his release. There are quite a few NBA shooters who are lousy at the FT line, but have 3-point or long-two range.
How hard is it to have a rhythm when you can shoot whenever you feel like it. I can't hit a shot from 2 feet but I'm really good at free throws.
this team is so talented too bad we are concetrated tto much on isohero hardenball... but i guess maurey knows better...
There needs to be more of that...His release was perfect...if its done once,it can be done everyday..
