This must be the first time I've ever seen anyone question the fact that you need to warm up and get loose before playing sports. Really? You need detailed research on this? How about asking anyone who has ever exercised?
I'm glad we won, but I don't have confidence in Mchale whatsoever. If we lost the lead by one or two points, I doubt he would put the starting core back in. His coaching philosophy/style is something I haven't seen before. When things get tight, his go-to move is standing up (finally), walking to the scorers table and moving his arms around without any sort f purpose. I get playing the bench and trying to let them finish, but as a coach myself, I do know that when a game is crucial, you don't risk it for ANYTHING. You've shown trust in the bench all game, now put your strong core in there to make sure you finish. I think sometimes McHale just "hopes" it works out. Proud of our Rockets. Missed watching Chandler play. He is an incredible talent that we're lucky to have around to complement James.
McHale was ready to re-insert the starters if the game had gotten any tighter. "I was getting pretty close," he said. But James Anderson, who started for Harden, tipped in a Delfino miss and the Rockets hung on to go eight games over .500 for the first time this season. NOW, WOULD THE MCHALE HATERS JUST SHUT YOUR GOD**MN F**KING PIEHOLES, ALREADY? F**KING A, ENJOY THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game wasn't a given. We played short handed. The resting of starters in the 4th was questionable, but how does it outweigh the win? I can only conclude that winning isn't a high enough priority with some fans.
The Rockets won the game with our two best players out, so, naturally, a new thread calling for his firing.
I don't understand how anyone can defend letting this game get down to 5 pts with minutes left in the game is a good decision. It was an unnecessary risk. Just because we won does not make the decision right. You shouldn't be ok with someone driving drunk just because they got home without killing a person.
So if mchale decided to send no defenders out on the floor up by one and the other team misses a wide open dunk does that mean he's a good coach? Results oriented much? His coaching tonight was an abomination.
I actually loved his decision, the bench got into the problem and he thrust them enough to let them solve it. I think we can all agree we will need everybody contributing if we want to make some noise in the playoffs and this was a good move towards that
