Point taken.....and hopefully true. But I don't see him developing into much of an offensive threat IMO. His offensive game is considerably behind Asik and that's saying something. One thing Asik can do if FINISH around the rim.

Look back on this thread. When did people start calling for the starters to come back in?

So you excuse anything he does. Ridiculous. He still has to "coach" his team. That was a bad move, straight up. Stop being stubbornly biased. A bad coaching decision is a bad coaching decision. He can cost us one, one of these days and id bet that you'd blame Lin or Lin fans for not being grateful that his coaching genius is what got us to the playoffs in the first place

That's why you bring them back earlier. Letting them cool off and not giving enough time to get hot again is one mistake you can't afford. When you kill, don't leave any doubts that your victim is dead or he'll come back again to haunt you. ;)

Those players are still going to be playing 12-20 minutes in the playoffs due to the pace. That's a decent chunk of a game.

I never said the beginning of the fourth quarter predicts the end of the fourth quarter, I said First quarter performance does not predict the performance for the remaining quarters due to Sample Size.

Yes, basketball is a game of streaks and runs but as you accumulate minutes and quarters you get enough of a sample to determine that your players are playing well or poorly that evening.

The second difference is the Starters are BETTER players. On average, the Starters will play better. A Starter playing at 80% is STILL better than the Bench on average. It's that simple.

Saying the Starters had a weak first quarter is NOT the same as the Bench having a weak 2nd, 3rd AND 4th quarter. It's called sample size and Context.

You put your best players in the game. That's not the bench.

And if you buy the hot hand theory, then it's STILL wrong as the Starters ran up the lead to 20 points... in the first quarter, then Again in the 3rd quarter after the Bench had squandered the lead. Oh, and the Bench squandered the lead Again in the 4th quarter.

Argue it however you want, but it was a reckless gamble by McHale that just happened to work out.

Touch McHale all you want, Dude. People's "If the team didn't win, then we would've lost" thoughts are endlessly fascinating. I have some too.

If Harden were as tall as Yao Ming, would he really be as good as now?
If Lin could fly, would McHale still bench him in the fourth quarter?
If we almost lose, then that's worse than actually losing, because of the psychological trauma done to the players.
If if if if, then then then then then.
Win win win win, win win win win win.

Sorry to interrupt the constructive criticism!

Omer used to really struggle finishing at the rim in his chicago years. In fact he used to struggle even catching the ball. Look how much he grew. Give Robinson some time. Defensively I love the kid. His offense will come in time now that he is in a good environment.

after all, it is April 1, he can lure the Magic fan's desire to the highest degree as he wants:)

I agree, but only after this game lol. I don't know what got into him in the past couple days but he's being patient now and actually going up strong.

Part of it has to do with Orlando playing small, and I guess Vucevic is a really bad defender.

It took you think long to figure this out? Stop quoting him and karolik, and put them on your ignore list.

I agree but in this case Azik will need rest ,Coach seems to rest J.lin alot ,and the pf position has never been solid so, I belive we will be seeing the bench more than u think

The only bad thing about this game was that the bench players came in with a solid 18-10 points lead twice and let it melt away. Defense was okay, but couldn't really buy any baskets. As close as this game got, I was just laughing all the way....

You're being either deliberately obtuse or too obtuse to know that your logic is completely impaired. Those are two completely different situations altogether. What are you talking about? So you wouldn't have brought in Lin and Asik either when our lead got in jeopardy?

Omer should take more outside jumpers, it looks really good and that full court pass to Lin for the layup was sweet. Asik should get some minutes at pg.

One of the reasons why Asik and Lin get more rests is probably largely due to the nature of the positions. Running the point and fighting in the paint does drain you out more easily than the other positions.
