Actually, the idea would be that not just Jesus was black but the real historical Hebrews. Again, It's not constructive to this thread for me to lay out a long argument.

And the Bible wouldn't necessarily be altered (though there are unrelated interpolations I won't get into) to get that idea. For example, look at St. John's descriptions of Jesus early in Revelation (hair of wool is one description, skin like brass is another).

What we can conclude is that debate is pointless. Granted I started this thread but I did so to vent frustration and see if anyone agrees with me.

To me it's irrelevant. If anything, it'd be relevant to the fact that I think the history books have been altered and whitewashed (some pun intended).

I already said I'm not a Christian in the traditional sense, so he doesn't have to fear talking with a Bible thumper who has to defend it at all costs.

It doesn't matter. Just that in the past, people had this habit of "whitening" people they glorified. Prophet Muhammad is the same, except that Muslims don't depict him. But the descriptions are just...

.. and dozens more where that comes from. Although there's no way he was white and the earliest description does not describe him as white:

But everyone wanted to make their glorified people white because they believed white = beauty in the not so civilized days.

To think, Muslims treat these as absolutely accurate truth.

By this same categorization, are the modern Jews also black? And, if not, why not?

Apprently, their lineage was changed. The Khazars, I believe of Eastern Europe in and around Armenia near the Caucas Mountains (which is where the term Caucasian comes from I might add), apparently converted to Judaism to avoid being captured by another group of people in 700 AD, long after the OT and NT stories of the Jews (including Jesus, who was born into the Hebrews) is claimed to have happened.

(To learn more on the Khazars)

These people eventually settled in Germany and became known as the Ashkenazi Jews, according to conspiracy theory. Ashkenazi is also a Biblical reference to one of Noah's sons. These Jews are all over the world now but particularly in the US and then more prominently, in and around New York City.

    (More on Ashkenazi Jews)

As the CT goes, they apparently have done what they could to steal the real lineage of the real Hebrews, who probably are at least semi-related to Beta Yisreal aka the Ethiopian Jews.

    (More on the Ethiopian Jews)

There's more to it too but I'm just laying it out in a basic way as not to derail my intention to this thread. Also, I point to the purposeful distortion to the amount of "color" there was in Ancient Egypt/Kemet, which is always claimed to have been Middle Eastern or white but rarely black. Many sculptures have been found to have broken noses:

And, the most notable example is the Sphinx. I'm not telling you necessarily to believe all of that but the argument is out there.

Assuming he even existed, he was Arabic looking. I think western blacks are doubly cursed by coming from pre-literate civilizations that were too diverse and not bureaucratic enough to have common language or culture or keep any historical records; and by having our bloodlines and intellectual potential truncated by slavery and educational exclusion. Therefore, in search of a cultural narrative comparable to other races, we either co-opt other histories or just make stuff up.

You just have to understand just how racist the white males that rule this world are. They'll go to any lengths to cover up black accomplishments. This coming from someone that used to roll my eyes at these type of conspiracy theories.

And if Sub-Saran Africans were so illiterate and uncultured, then what about Timbuktu in Mali?

I guess black males won in the sense that Obama is considered black, even though he's half white / half black? Under your theory, wouldn't the "ruling white males" have tried to claim that accomplishment of winning the POTUS election?

I actually believe they wanted a black man in office for when they'd trying to destroy the US more than at any other time.

But like I said very early on, there's not much I can say to convince of my point of view, hence why I didn't to derail the thread with this argument. And you already know based on the OP I don't just instantly buy all of the reverse-racist non-sense some Afro-Centrist put out there.

If he existed, he almost certainly looked Mediterranean, neither very dark or very pale.

I did 23andme recently, and its amazing exactly how much "white" people are black, and "black" people are white.

In fact, Henry Lewis Gates, who runs a DNA testing service for African Americans, has IIRC said that he has never tested anybody whose DNA was 100% sub-Saharian African.

So all those Afro-Centrists have a little cracker inside waiting to get out.

For that matter, there is also a guy in England who runs a DNA service, who was on NPR talking about all the sub-Saharian African in the "white power" types he tested.

In many religions, it is common in legends/stories/scripture for a deity or prophet, or their servants / messengers, to appear to those that would encounter them as similar to them in appearance, sometimes even by gender. It is also not unusual for a deity to be portrayed, by the faithful to those they would sway to their beliefs, as similar to them in appearance.

Arguing what color he was, as though that would be significant, seems a petty and spiteful thing.

Muslims don't glorify Muhammad (peace be up on him). They only glorify God. Your point is not accurate because Muhammad's (peace be up on him) life is the most studied, documented life of all men in history. From how he ate, to how he put his shoes on etc... Arabs didn't make Muhammad (peace be up on him) white to ''recognize'' themselves into him since they are brown. Muhammad (peace be up on him) was probably brown also but maybe a little lightier but definitely not white like a white American.
