I hope we win and I hope Lin does well. If Delfino and Garcia can once again replace Harden's points scored, we'll do well. If we rely to heavily on Lin and Asik... it might be closer than we are hoping for.
I really really don't want a Jeremy Lin centered team. I think he is a serviceable starting PG, but is overpaid as of right now. Hope he grows into his contract.
Hi Clutch, just wondering if you ever considered getting some moderators to monitor the forum and posts or so? Just taking from previous experiences with forums with problem posts and stuff. I used to mod for a celeb forum years ago and we had like 7 mods (all volunteers) and 1 would be online all the time. I think trial period was for new mods were 3 months to see if they are up for it. All the posts deleted/posters banned by each mod are logged (before and after trial period), so if the Admin feels anything was wrongfully terminated they could return it to original condition. Posters can go PM a designated person to complain if they thought they were banned/their posts were deleted wrongfully. I know that's probably a lot of work and may be against what cluchfans is about, just a suggestion if you think the problems are getting a bit out of hand.
Lin has proven that he can put up some impressive numbers when he is the primary ball handler, and he gets the green lights to run the offense under no restraints. Now, is this the best recipe for the Rockets to succeed? Probably not. The more Lin grows and learns to coexist along Harden the better our team gets. With more time Lin-Harden could be one the league's best backcourts.
Okay. Apologies if you didn't like this thread and thought it was a waste. Honestly, people. Wasn't trying to troll or stir the pot. I guess I forgot how "on edge" people are about Jeremy Lin. My dumb butt forgot that I was posting here and not just about anywhere else on the Internet where everyone doesn't freak out about posting a thread. Seriously though, sorry if you got all offended by my waste of Internet ink and your time Geeze Louise. Anyways I was sincerely hoping everyone could just get on board the same train and just cheer the team on and get us one more closer to our magic number (6). Also sorry if the post was full of errors, I opted it on the run at work on my phone. I got all excited because it was my time being able to start a thread. And boy do I feel encouraged to contribute now LOL
This is pretty much factually incorrect. Lin's salary is very average for a starting PG who is not on a rookie contract. A serviceable PG (as of now) on a serviceable PG's salary. Sounds about right.
Sarcasm has no place on the internet, no place my friend I will be reporting you OP to the Elders of the Internet
I think it will be blatantly obvious that we're a better team without James Harden if we beat the Magic tonight. I mean...dude is a great scorer, but it's obvious that he doesn't value winning or Lin's success the way he values his stats. We should all be thankful that at least we found a superstar talent in Lin that displays all the qualities a winning basketball player should.
You claim you want to put aside stuff and get everyone to root for the team and pat each other on the back yet you make this absolute aberration of a thread trying to cause shi*t when we couldnt possibly need more? F*K YOU OPIE
