Sorry, guess I missed where the OP said 'No PbP and no discussing game strategy'.

I believe that he put him in because he won't start this week anyway, with tomorrow being and off day and all...

What a great way to start the season! I enjoyed this game tonight more than any opener ever, likely because I know I won't be able to watch another game until sometime next year. Regardless, great game tonight!

Stros, all alone in first place in their division and the AL.

He's the 5th starter. He's doing long relief this week since he wouldn't pitch otherwise.

Yeah. Astros have an especially odd schedule this week -- off day tomorrow (April 1) and at the end of the series on April 4.

yes, I was just pointing out that the 3 IP rule (that the 1st poster mentioned as the reason) was inconsequential. He was eligible for the save regardless

They have two days off this week and he'll be able to keep his spot in rotation

If Kevin Brown were on the Astros, he'd have three starts in by next Sunday.

do you guys agree with the espn broadcasters that had Lucas played with the yankees he'd be an 20 game pitcher? hope he isn't traded for some 2059 A.D prospects.

thanks espn for broadcasting a houston game for the city of houston.

Astros #1 in the league based on record
This was the Astros' 4,000th win
The Astros won by playing fundamental, NL style baseball. Ironic.
