    Thanks.

Tiger is the truth. I'm not hating on him at all. Just wanted to reference him to help make the point. I respect the heck out of Tiger as an athlete and competitor.

    ha ha ha. True!

Man I remember Jim Peterson and Granville Waiters. Got to see Ralph vs Hakeem live in Oakland when Sampson went to the Warriors.

    Those were the days. :)

Respect. I remembered you called Chandler out early on this year for being somewhat clumsy and it was spot on while others were bashing me for feeling the same. Your one green dot shines brighter than most.

    Thanks, man. I appreciate that.

You saying my dot is small?

Looking forward to tonight's game. Just want a win, don't care how we get it.

I joined in 2012 but I've been a Rockets fan since about '77. I've been through it all from Calvin to Jeremy. I used to post on the ESPN message boards around about '02-03 and in recent years I would go the The Dreamshake. I dont know if ESPN even has boards anymore but it was kind of a free-for-all over there although I did get banned for starting a thread titled "Jake Peavy's P**** hurts" after he whined about the Crawford Boxes. Good times!

There are more Asians playing basketball (worldwide) at any given time than any other race. So stop lying. I saw it in some NBA documentary or something. They're just not athletic. They're made for sitting at home playing video games. It is what it is.

there was a brief period here during the Yao Ming era that the phrases YOF and YOH were actually censored and came off as *** and ***

    I miss those days

How is this not ban worthy?

I don't even know why I bother replying but if Asians aren't athletic check out China's Olympic gold tally every Olympics.

The reason why they aren't as many Asians playing basketball is simple. The interest level isn't quite the same as it is in the US. The facilities, the expertise and the level of competition simply does not allow for the same level of talent development.

Yeah, I think it cleaned up some messy name calling. Maybe Clutch doesn't feel like it is going to work this time around.

they can be annoying but in the end I have good faith most of them will be glorious rockets fans and stay loyal 8 years from now.
LOFs hold it together. A lot of nerds calling you guys out for being lofs were VYOFs or some other kind of "only fan".

As a kid, I, myself, was a DOF and RHOF
I would end up trading all my michael jordan cards for olajuwon cards, which were wrongfully under valued. I made many bad business decisions just because olajuwon and horry were my favorite players.

Over-exaggeration by going extreme will only expose naive.

While there are evidence showing that many black people carry genetic polymorphisms(variations) that allows slight advantage in energy production, there's also nutrition conditions during adolescence making huge difference. Asian economy has been lagging behind US for quite awhile. Now that the living conditions are catching up quickly, I would expect them to surprise people like you in many sports very soon.

It was, and he did get banned. Mods are reliable here. Just neg rep someone who they leave a ban-worthy comment, and Mods will decide how to handle it.

Thank for sharing the great post.

When I start this thread, I only meant to use X-only-fans as neutral terms. I myself started very much a casual fan of Jordan, not that much Olajuwon at the time to be frank. When Yao was drafted, I got more engaged, more like a Yao-only-fan. I kept lurking at Clutchfans and Yaomania, some times locked out of Clutchfans when too many members logged on for a hot game, until I joined Clutchfans in 2007.

When Yao had to retire, my heart was broken. However, I stayed. With classy players like Battier, Scola, and Hayes on the team, I didn't look elsewhere, transforming from YOF to Rox-fan-Yao-my-favorite to a Rox fan. Today? Lin is my favorite on the team bcoz I like his unselfish play style. And no, I didn't following that much during his Linsanity era until he becomes a Rocket.

So please everybody, don't take these XOF thing too seriously. The team is still developing and people change. In the end, we come to this great site to ENJOY basketball, no?

Be the same as saying black people can't swim. Or white people can't jump.

Just differences in culture. Black communities have not had the same privileges that asian or white communities have had in terms of swim training plus there are fewer opportunities in Africa for swim training. Thus why white or asian communities tend to dominate swimming on an Olympic level.

White people can't jump. Well white people do make a **** load of money so I guess jumping isn't a top priority. In fact, kind of the same with Asians. You gotta take away that notion that studying = money n it'd be good.
