I don't have a problem with Smith posting up at all. The problem is that they didn't give Dmo the same opportunity to post up when that is his strength.

I'm alright with Smith starting but I would like to see Dmo get around 20 minutes a night playing time.

Though I don't think as highly of D-mo's post game as others do, he does get several opportunities to post up within the flow of a game, I believe. And the fact that Smith has no outside game to speak of makes it more vital to post him up early on.

And 20 minutes for D-mo sounds about right to me, too.

D-Mo post up play gives a lot of options for offense...especially when we have shooters...he is good at posting and at passing which creates a lot opportunities for others...he either makes a shot, pass back to 3pt shooter or he can give a nice pass to cutter or C forward. It is nice too see that....on the other hand..defense is a bit tricky...he started to get rookie fouls..a lot of those....because he is tall and his movement looks late and weird...get a lot calls...but..I think he is getting a bit better on D then he was in the beginning. He has a lot of potential...and he just cant become a 5min a game boy of the bench...he is too good...

He's just tired I guess (because of translation of garbare to starter, and b2b games) , and due his honest he actually can ask to be benched to help our team be more productive. Let's see if D-Mo will be benched next couple of games (won't be surprised if agains Magic he also be benched because of last weak peformanc against them).

DMo has 27 post ups this season. and is 10th in the league percentage-wise. 27 post ups is ridiculously small amount for what he can do.

So much for them idiot posters that kept saying starting Smith and Asik was a bad idea, and starting them together would do nothing but "clog up the lanes". :)

No, if there was a real backup C and not a gazillion PFs, then Greg Smith would still be playing PF. No one is disputing that the Rox try to use a 4 out 1 in approach with a stretch 4 to maximize Harden/Lin drives, but you need only look at the fact that guys with no 3pt shot like TRob are being played at PF to see that G.Smith would also be playing at PF if there was a true backup C and not a gazillion PFs (thus forcing some PFs to play C if they wanted minutes, and with a hole to fill at the b/u 5).

Dmo got a late start to NBA action. He's a project that will just get better with experience, he looks like a robot out there. Catches the ball and automatically swings the ball without even facing the basket. That irks the **** out of me when he doesnt even the face the goal. If a team was scouting properly they could easily jump the passing lanes when Dmo catches the ball.

This may be McHale's first good rotation decision. Seriously.

I don't understand the PatPat trade still, but I really didn't understand the philosophy of putting a rookie in a starting spot that is such a deficit for this current roster.

I still haven't seen what Dmo's strengths are, other than bit*hing at teammates that try to help him during offensive sets. He's got this attitude about him, in my opinion.

That baby hook that Greg was using at the beginning of the game last night was nice. He should continue to go to that.

That's the basic beginning "go-to move" for any developing forward. With Greg's build and broad shoulders, it's a good way for him to overpower his opponent so that his shot is within 3-4 feet from the rim.

If you can't see DMo's strengths you are not watching games or you are just stupid.
