For me, #1 on my list is Nestle Alpine White - - A white chocolate candy bar with almonds. There were also candy cigarettes that were about as addicting as the real things. There is also this candy I can't seem to find online... it was a small piece of candy in an orange wrapper from the 80's/90's. I was born in 84' so I probably last remember seeing it in the late 80's So what's some vintage goodies that you miss?
Not so much vintage, but I love blue gummi sharks, but I cannot find them anywhere except for Amazon.
I see where this thread is headed and I like it. She wore blue; the germans grey. I can't think of any chocolate bar that I used to like and is now extinct. maybe the bubble gum stick inside the topps cards.
I don't miss a particular brand, I miss real ingredients. Candy bars sweetened with HFCS taste horrible.
Do you by chance like toffee? Look to skor, my favorite. No high fructose or hydrogenated anything, unlike Heath, the similar but somehow much less palatable version of it. Hope they don't discontinue skor though, because you don't see them as often. Heath is everywhere.
I miss regular warheads. Sure they still exist, but they not every store still carries them. Always the spray or the chews.
You guys should try some of the old time candy online stores... you can find a lot of older candies on there. Here's one : http://www.oldtimecandy.com I briefly looked and blue gummi sharks, warheads, etc, are on there. There are lots of other similar stores online if you want to pay up for things like shipping.
