We burnt the Grizzlies last time we played at home. I'll say they made some adjustment plus our defensive effort's not there this time.
The date IS significant. It was the end of last season, we just got eliminated from the playoffs because of the dive we took. This was mostly a knee jerk thread... you see it in all forums. It didn't evolve like this though until recently.
I've been calling for McHale to be fired since before the epic collapse last season. Hell, I had been rooting for the Rockets to miss the playoffs all of last season. He's simply a bad coach. There's no reason to have a negative as a coach when there are plenty around that can simply do no harm.
Go back a page and read where i spelled out why he was hired in the first place. Also, it's hard to believe that he's doing THAT bad of a job when the rebuilding team that he's head coach of has a winning record and is likely going to the playoffs when they shouldn't.
They're likely going to the playoffs because Morey wizarded Harden and Asik onto the team and the players surrounding the two are pretty good. The Rockets MOV and SRS indicate that they are actually underperforming in W/L terms relative to their play. Some bad luck is involved there, but also some awful coaching. Yeah, that McHale was hired for his willingness to bend to the front office and not coaching talent isn't a good sign. It's a bad one.
all you people defending mchale will be eating crow come playoff time when this team gets wrecked and averages 80 pts per game. Minnesota fans know what im talking about but go ahead and keep defending mchale. you people will know soon enough.
This isn't a defense of Mchale, but let's not sit here and act like anybody REALLY expects this team to NOT get wrecked in the playoffs. The team, as is, is just not ready to compete in a playoff series with teams like the Thunder or Spurs. Now....having said that. Mchale will go a long way towards whether we get swept and lose by 10+ points per game, or whether we give somebody an actual run.
fire Mchale. He doesn't use Lin properly. He yells at players and tells them they need to put 100% effort for getting millions to play basketball. Shame on him.

I'll be impressed enough if we make the playoffs. I was expecting about 40 wins this season. The team seems to have exceeded my expectations.
Wow....so you expect the youngest team in the league who has only been together 2 days before the season started to be competitive in the play-offs and upset the top teams? Are you out of your mind? That's why Morey and McHale are where they are at and you're not.
I am sure this comment is going to get buried in this thread somehow, but I feel like you do not beat the Clippers the way we did without Harden THIS LATE IN THE SEASON with bad coaching.
