Opponents adjusted to our small ball lineup with Parsons/Delfino at the forward positions about a month ago. We are not adjusting to another mismatch.
Because we don't have legit PFs who can play both ends of the floor (feel like describing whole roster). pick ur poison.
Not ideal but poor delfino. He was really trying and did put in effort covering his man. He also managed to score some huge buckets to keep the rockets from getting blown out.
It had worked before against other teams, but it just nonsensical against teams with good PFs like Memphis with Randolph.
LOL at McFail. I turned off the TV the third time Z-Bo abused Delfino on the block. Are we competing for a championship this year? If not, then let DMo and TRob get experience guarding Z-Bo. Delfino on Z-Bo accomplishes nothing for this team.
We've played small ball for 2-3 years actually. Last season and the season before, it was playing 2 point guards and Scola or Patterson at the 5, the reasoning seemed to be to get the most out of our dynamic defensive players because we'd often get Lee playing SF with Patterson at the C spot. This season now that we have a legit center it seems focus is on getting 3 point shooters out there. Problem both this season and last however is that the offense seemed easy to scout, last season, it was all about passing the ball into Scola and have him work or letting Dragic, Lee or Lowry drive at the basket and this year, Harden, Lin or Parsons drive at the basket or letting 3 of them to take shoot three pointers all day rather then try to slow down the game. Either way, I personally have no love for it due to the loss of rebounding and easy teams that actually use their big men to score inside have the Rockets at a disadvantage.
