    The denomination I was raised in (UCC) never gave stuff up for Lent, and I am an atheist.

    That being said, I will occasionally give up certain comforts, and I admire and applaud those who take their faith seriously enough to make a commitment like this.

    I made it. No meat for 40 days. And now I'm in Germany to break my fast. The best country for meat in the world, next to Texas!

    I gave up hate! Hate towards anything out of my control. Hate towards the lakers and the Jazz(replaced those feelings of hatred with the feelings of "poor child":grin:)
