Thanks! After a quick look at it, Jeremy's Drting is tied for the 162 ranking out of 450 players. And doing a quick eye ball of the list, it seems like he's in the top 10 for starting point guards. That's good in my opinion
if you want to play that game. lin held parker to 2 pts in the first quarter, while he was in there. Boom all nba defender. =/
the paper never indicates what was lin's DRAPM by the time he wrote the paper. the author ranked the NBA's best by determining Plus Minus Above Replacement (PMAR) by multiplying DRAPMs by possessions-per-game and determining a value for replacement players. at least just from #s, you and the author based on different #s. do you know what lin's DRPM # was?
Let's get something straight. I am not and have never been a Lin hater. I was one of the ones rooting for him to succeed at the beginning of the season. If you would bother to check, Bev has nearly matched Lin's % with increased playing time. Of course, you didn't bother to mention that. Also, will you ding dongs stop blaming everyone else for Lin's faults. At what point does Lin get called out for his ineffectiveness and inconsistency.
i was talking about the paper used by the other poster. (http://www.nba.com/hoop/the_devil_is__the_dtails_2013_02_05.html)
Dude you need to learn to read, I have always said if Lin is playing badly as he did in the 1st quarter fine bench him, but when he picks up his level like he did in the 3rd quarter continue friggin playing him!! And wtf was the point to bring him back in during garbage time. Anyway, it was not about Lin's playing time, its about you ignorant fans who eye ball everything and believe everything ppl like Stephen A Smith spits out. Beverly has matched Lin's %?? Talk about over exaggeration again. Its like saying Lin matched Harden's % during the three games where he scored 20+ and ignore everything Harden did the entire season.
I said nearly matched and he has over the past 5-6 games with increased playing time. http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3964/patrick-beverley
The expectations for Beverly are much lower...I can't remember the last time a 9 pt, 1 ast game in 28 minutes for Lin was considered "good"...
lin > beverley beverley will become a fine backup pg in the league if he keeps this up. i really like his energy
it seems like the trend in clutchfans is that whenever someone has a good game, he's a star. if he has a bad game, he's a scrub. examples from this season (only taking a few instances but i am sure you'll get the point): - when lin scored 38 against the spurs, he's an all star and the bad games he had prior to that game were the coach's and harden's fault; when lin scores a few points and have a bad game, he belongs in the d-league and the backup point guard should start over him - when harden won the game for us against the spurs recently, he's the best sg in the league; when he shot poorly in a loss against the pacers, it's all his fault. -when beverley went on a scoring drought for a few games, he sucks and shouldn't even be a backup pg; he's been playing well recently and he should be the starting pg. i may be a new to post here but i have enjoying reading on this site for a long time now and have 22 years of basketball experience. this is what i've observed here in an OBJECTIVE perspective and i find this LOF/LOH thing ridiculous.
What a horrible post, it is ridiculous to say that Lin doesn't play god defense because he does. Just making that statement shows that you just have a problem with Lin and not his play.
Beverley doesn't turn the ball over. That's why McHale likes him. The old school coaches seem to hate turnovers to a degree that is totally illogical. Hence McHale's comment about Jeremy would rather have 29 points with 9 turnovers than win the game. I'll take 29 points on efficient shooting and constantly breaking down the defense with the 9 turnovers rather than a steady dose of isolation ball coupled with low percentage shots.
If you pay attention on the paper, you will notice high DRAPM doesn't mean high ranking in his calculation. for example, kg has the highest DRAPM of 5.5 but he is not #1 in the author ranking.
