How bad is it that I'm hoping he gets cut so we can have him back? Connor was so cool, he's a guys guy and he was great for the community. I'm really gonna miss his antics, even the letter jackets. Good luck Connor, hopefully he'll wear battle red again...

If he thanked Blaine Gabbert because he's awful and Barwin sacked him often, then I'm going to need Earl, Bags, Dream and a few others on the phone because I have to break the news to them that I have a new favorite Houston player of all-time.

    Hilarious.

I can only assume he's thanking Gabbert for the four sack game in 2011.

    Totally awesome.

Good luck to Barwin. That's a great send off. I'll miss the Kramer.

Yep, I thought so too! Dude is seriously going to be missed. I wish he had more than just the one blowout year for the Texans, but I guess those are the breaks :(

That 2009 draft class was a monster: Cushing, Barwin, Quin, Casey, and McCain were 5 of the 8 picks. We need to replicate that kind of success this year (drafting much lower) to replenish the talent pool with good, cheap contributors. The '09 class really made up for the '07 and '08 classes. out of the 13 picks we had in 2007 and 2008, only one player is still with the team: (Okoye, Jones, Bennett, Harrison, Frye, Studdard, Dyles in 2007 and Brown, Molden, Slaton, Adibi, Okam, Barber, Brink from 2008).

    Sigh, wasted opportunities...

    Man... **** the Eagles.

I'm still surprised there was even ONE team that was willing to pay him that much money.

Quin's contract, I understand. Casey? Sorta.

LOL @ Blaine Gabbert.....and the tiny font for his buddy Shaun Cody.

Going to miss the dude, he was part of that great character this team had in the locker room.

    Good Luck in Philly.

I really hope WM has a good year filling in for him.

I don't know if he knew someone that was nicknamed Cheesecake or if he was just thanking the general dessert cheesecake. I choose to believe the latter because that's AWESOME.

Since he also thanked "bread" I think that's a safe assumption.

Honestly this isn't really news...most FA would probably "stay at home" if their home team offered them the same money. It's just like when we leave company "X" for company "Y", I would've stayed there if they would've been willing to pay the same.....lol

I saw him at MKT Bar.

    He also thanked a bee.

And how did he get 4 years of free movies at Edwards?

The more I look at that, the more awesome it is. Even right down to leaving the borders on the tables used to insert the wordage.

I hope Barwin is cheered loudly if/when he ever returns to Houston.

I hope so. For what was best for the team and as a fan of the team, he needed to go due to production, but as a person I am rooting for him. Great personality and good connection to the fans here. Unlike some FAs who spout off a hint of bitterness, he never did. Much respect and hope for success for him unless he is playing the Texans.

Hopefully we will run into him at FPSF like every other year. He was still rocking out at fitz a few days before he signed in Philly.
