I can probably count all the games with my hand where our back up pg had to play hero ball for Lin's poor play. Stop making stupid exaggerations.
Not sure where the argument here. Beverley had way more potential defensively than Lin ever could. He has at times single handily carried us with his defense, something Lin has never done. An example would be the game against the Magic as well as a few others. Is he consistent defensively? Of course not, but I could see him being a PG stopper on the level of Bledsoe in the near future. On the other hand, the guy seriously has no offensive moves besides his floater and his 3 point shot which isn't consistent at all. He also has trouble running an offense. Lin has way more potential in this area, as evidenced by his explosions on offense sometimes. Is he consistent though? Of course not. Will he fulfill his potential? I doubt it, I just hope it ends up at the very least somewhere in between. In summary, Beverley's high on defense has been better than Lin's, but Lin's high on offense has been better than Beverley's. Neither has been consistent, but its obvious to tell who has more potential, whether they fulfill it has yet to be seen but by next year you should have an idea.
what the hell is this, earlier you guys were saying td plays better defense, now it's bev. Come on, Lin is one of the top defender in the pg position this season. Watch the games and check the stats. waving your arm up and down constantly means nothing, getting steals and contesting shots constantly are what counts. Just look at the steal/points allow difference between lin, td and bev. Stop with this td/bev play better defense bs
If you are going to count the game against the Pacers then I can see where you get your logic and conclude the back up pg played hero.... You have a ridiculously low standard for "hero" when the Rockets loose and the hero back up pg scores 0 pts and 0 assists in the 4th quarter. What a ****ing hero.
Cheers, McFail, if you have the balls, please start Bev next game. Show D. Morey, who is the boss.
How about you actually comment on the content of what I just posted.... give me proof that the back up pg played hero to Lin in most games this season like you have stated. You are not being real. Funny that because I think Lin> Beverly I'm a LOF....
Even with Lin's abysmal play recently and Beverly's "hot streak" Lin for the season has a fg% of .445 and Beverly has a fg% of 42%.
Interesting, so if the 2012 posters are stereotyped as fans, it seems like quite a few of the newer 2013 posters are trolls...
You just don't get it. I agree, Lin is the better scorer, but when he is not scoring( which is more times than not )he becomes a liability because he does not play good defense and has a high TO rate. It's not the same with Beverley. Bev doesn't have to score to be effective because he backs it up in other parts of the game.
