    Lol...I agree, the first 1-2 seasons they had characters with very strong British accents
    and the plot was not that interesting but if you continue the characters change and
    their accents become more bearable. The show really starts to take off in the 3rd season.
    I have to admit I was hooked on the show. I think 24 got a lot of their ideas from that show!

    I had to stop watching TOUCH during the first episode. The amount of forced acting was sickening.

    Probably the best acting was from them autistic kid.

    It's just not for everyone. You have to appreciate cheesy almost soap opera like production, writing, & acting. I really like every series j.j. abrams i've seen so far. Love the music & comedy in them. they always seem to recognize & make fun of how absurd some aspect of the shows are.

    Watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer along with Angel which is a sister show to Buffy both will keep you busy for a while, If you haven't seen them already.

    Another one for supernatural as well!!

    Downton Abbey. It's British, a period piece and soap opera-ish. But has great characters, plots, and acting. It's addictive.

    House of lies, californication. First few seasons of Lie to Me, Falling Skies, Homeland, West Wing, Newsroom, Royal Pains, first few seasons of Burn Notice, The Wire, Entourage, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, The League, Go back and watch the first few seasons of The Unit, Flight of the Concords, If you can find Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip I thought that was good, very shortlived though.

    They're running one now called Ripper Street. It's also really really good. And, it has some of the GOT characters in it ;)

    Ripper Street is pretty good, I have 4-5 episodes on DVR to watch still. I liked Sherlock and Luther better so far though. Luther is one of the best serial killer dramas I have seen.


    As other's have mentioned, Rome is good, with similarities to Game of Thrones minus the fantasy elements.
