im not here to argue about this... I just feel like he would be a good pick up. But I also Think DHB would too... I just think hell be more expensive... Will see Pancakes just stated will do more Free agent signings on the cheap.., but coming from him it might mean we do NONE....

That reminds me; Kubiak better start using Ben Tate more and stop overusing Foster like a MOFO. The two-headed monster running back is not a bad thing at all. Ben Tate is a ****ing cruiser.
Since nothing can be done about Schaub, got to at least respect the moves the organization is making. Defensive leadership. Special teams. Smash mouth run game help. How do you help an average playoff QB? Control the clock, dominate on d and field position. Still need to address right side of o-line and defense and depth a bit. I feel like Colts could overtake the Texans... But even with improvements it's hard to see them being so "lucky" - by which I mean they overplayed their talent last year. So probably a bit ho hum regular season, wait to see if Schaub can play any better in the playoffs.
Also have to think Schaub will be extra motivated after all the criticism about not living up to the contract.
Of course. He's not young anymore. I don't know if he can actually improve his (good not elite) game.
Someone ought to make a Schaub version of the Tmac My Fault video. That way it's handy, and we can easily blame Schaub for anything.
I remember Trent Dilfer, in commenting on Schaub, saying that you can always improve, not matter the age, and that Manning and Brady would tell you the same thing. The better you are at something, the less room there is for improvement, so you're not going to see the kinds of improvement you would in a younger kid. But nobody ever maxes out their potential, so there's always room to grow.
I'd have to agree with this Edelman would be a perfect buy low product. You don't necessarily have to start Edelman at the #2 receiver. He works well out of the slot. I think bringing back KW would automatically mean putting him back in the starting line up, just seems like a Kubiak move. Regardless we need quality WR depth behind Jean and Martin.... our rookie(s) will most likely be projects throughout the season.
We don't run a ton of slot sets, Edelman is one of those guys that a great QB makes better, he wont make life easier on Schaub. His biggest impact would be on special teams. Not a good fit.
What else should happen? The Texans could sign AP, trade for Revis, add Calvin Johnson, etc, etc... and if Schaub continues to perform like he did in the playoffs last year the team would still likely fail to make, much less win, the superbowl. You can't win in the NFL with a QB that scrambles to safety, with literally no one within 10 yards capable of taking him down, on a 3rd down play, when you are down in the game and desperately need to show some momentum early in the second half, to only have the QB throw it away for absolutely no reason. Literally all of our signings have to be made to take into account that this dude is our "leader" and more or less sole determinant of how far we go next year. Ed Reed = upgrade PLUS leadership Lechler = upgrade PLUS field position because we're going to need it Jones = back to smash-mouth football It's not like management is attempting to add a 2nd legitimate WR, and saying "let's give Schaub more weapons". They're doing everything else. Adding veteran leadership and making a smash-mouth, clock control, defense led team even more likely than it already was. I mean look at this play! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WK4LuVgutLY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> When that's your QB and who you're locked into, despite the rest of the team being at or VERY VERY VERY close to superbowl caliber, absolutely every signing needs to take into account that deficiency.
We do on most 3rd and long plays... especially last season when we were playing from behind against the teams that beat us; Patriots, Colts, Packers, etc. JayZ750's clip is one example of when we are forced to go 3 wide and put the ball in Schaub's hands to find a play. We still need to upgrade that talent. Like I said even if it's just a move to add depth we need to add quality to the WR corps.
I WANT TO SEE FOSTER AND TATE IN THE BACKFIELD AT THE SAME TIME THIS SEASON. WHY THE HELL HAS KUBIAK NEVER USED THAT FORMATION???
