Today was once again a painful reminder of how reliant Harden's game is on free throws. When he is getting them he is elite, when he isn't he can sometimes struggle. Hope this isn't an indication of what kind of refereeing there is in the play offs, where the game is more physical.

No, I wasn't expecting the team to blow out the Pacers. Which is exactly why I am so mystified by all the complaining tonight.

Stat needs to interpreted properly. That s why not everyone can be a statistician. It's not like something is always better than nothing. it is better not to draw a conclusion than drawing a conclusion in the wrong way.

it was eli roe, after what is it, 14 straight losses that he's refereeing our games, you come to expect the one sided calls.

I think the complaining was about harden and parsons playing 40+ mins while sucking... They were asking why not try a lin/bev line up thats all...

I dont think it was unreasonable at all

Please...stop blaming those 3 TOs leading to easy 6 baskets as the killer in this game...not to mentioned only two of them lead to easy baskets. What about the multiple tens of brick shots by the other players that lead to just as easy baskets? Let's put the blame strictly on the Houston best player....Harden. When your best player bricks 18 shots....take it as a man and move on.

Coming to within 4 points is still losing. What kind of rebuttal is that? We never gained the lead. We lost, you see. We did not recover.

Interesting. Do you have a link? The refs are awful tonight. A lot of late whistles and inconsistent calls. Calling the fouls on one end but not the other.

Come on. What can harden do when he is the ONLY option?

By this logic, Harden's 3 TOs led to 5 points, plus another 6 points if the Rockets scored 2 points each on those three possessions. That's 11 points turnaround right there. Harden costed us the game then? Well, while we are at it, let's add up the 18 chucked misses, which if the Rockets scored 2 points on even 1/3 of those 18 blown possessions, there's 12 points for the win right there.

Seriously, when a player chucks 24 shots at a 25% clip, I don't understand how any non-troll can possibly think the bulk of responsibility for the loss resides with somebody else's 3 TOs.

4 points means the game is within reach but were lost in the fourth quarter, not in the first quarter as you claimed.

Completely agree. Harden is not elite in terms of scoring from the field, but is elite in terms of being able to get to the foul line. Right now his FG% is almost exactly as Lin's.

Why are the Rockets enacting a late season comeback of Hardenball ? Only McSuccess knows the answer.

i guess to be positive the goal this year was to make the playoffs which at this point is certain.
i remember reading early in the year people were saying we should tank the season to get a number 1 pick.
this year is just the beginning i am thinking the rockets will be a strong contender once the playoff run ends.

He's not the only option...that IS the problem when McFail and Harden is thinking like this and you have 4 players wondering on the court. Your not going to miss his defense much, if you would just give him some rest and try Anderson for 5-10 minutes?

not with me, it was brought up when we lost to new orleans earlier this year (eli roe) and i think there was another one. I was watching this game thinking, it's gotta be eli, only he refs like this, and lo and behold when i looked it up, i was right.

I've seen people complain about other refs, like joey crawford, but really the only ref it seems to be systematic and not just the odd bad call to me is eli.
