Hm, seems odd they're listing him as a PG. His game seems more suited as an SF from what I can tell in the scouting video.
I keep hearing this kid will be a top 5 pick in the 2013 NBA draft... Considering how WEAK this upcoming draft is I believe it... Man do I hate the 2013 NBA draft... Thank God Rockets won't have a lottery pick this year... Next year though, is a draft for the ages...
Not at all. He plays almost exclusively at point guard. He's a guy that can play the one, two or three. But he is definitely playing at point guard on both ends of the floor currently for most of the time he's playing with his club team. He really does primarily play at the point guard position on both ends of the court.
Interesting, last time I read about him they weren't calling him a PG at all. Daryl Morey and Sam Presti went to Athens to see this dude play, though. Sadly all the attention he is getting has probably put him out of our reach if he decides to stay in the draft this year and Morey doesn't move up somehow. You never know with Morey, though.
The editors at nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com are just sating he plays small forward because they have decided that's the only position he can play. They didn't say he plays that position because they actually watched him play in games. In games, he plays point guard. It's actually very easy to get full games of his team on YouTube, and it's clear he plays as a point guard. The draft sites are calling him a SF (even though he's a point guard) I guess because they just don't believe he would play point guard in NBA. I assume that is the reason. Because he definitely plays at PG on his current team. So it's really more speculation by scouts that puts him at SF.
Wow, he looks pretty good in the clips. Yeah they're cherry picked highlights and against small, inferior competition, but he looks very smooth and pretty instinctive on defensive. I think he'd definitely be worth a chance...hell, if Royce White is worth a 16th pick this guy is easily top 5.
It was in the GARM for Morey scouting him. I can see players like him would be very difficult to scout. Obviously, he is playing against subpar talent.
He's married to Adriana Lima though so even if he's not too good a ball player, I'd still rather be him. :grin:
