We usually make 4 batches at a time and spend $30-40 on the fruit. Our juicer cost about $200. You must make some quick trips to the store, not wash the stuff well, get the minimum amount of juice from the fruit because you don't cut it up, and have a lot of mold on the juicer. Our general process includes buying, cleaning the fruits/vegetables, cutting, juicing half, cleaning the juicer, juicing the other half, cleaning the juicer again, and then cleaning the kitchen. If we could do that in 15-20 minutes, we'd definitely be juicing a lot more often. You must be a miracle worker.

I've never heard of Robek's, so I didn't consider that. That's definitely something I would consider, although it would be hard to rely on that 3-5 times per day for even 2 days.

Great think I have a functioning liver. Otherwise I'd have to figure out another way to remove toxins from my body.

tell me more about these toxins that will come out of your pores. Are these like little micro schits oozing out? Or do you sweat piss out your pores?

all i juice is Kale, Celery, and Green Apples.. the entire stalk of celery, head of kale, and 2 green apples makes close to 32 oz.. i do this 2-3 times a day as ive heard you should drink atleast 2 qrtz a day.. also making all your juice in batches is supposed to be bad as youre supposed to drink it immediately and it loses is nutritional value as it oxidizes, and it taste terrible after refrigerated.. i also juice at the lowest speed so im sure im getting my juice. i know how to wash my juicer, people act like its some tedious process, if you have a dishwasher is also a big help..

i ended up buying this breville for close to $200. i was considering the omega VRT masticating juicer but i could justify the price..

Hmm, your picture didn't come up, but it may be the same one we have. It's the Breville Juice Fountain, I think. We usually make enough for 2 days since I'm working 70+ hours due to tax season. 1 batch for us consists of 2-3 stalks of celery, 2 kale leafs (we usually put more), 2 green apples, half a lemon, tiny piece of ginger and 2 cucumbers. The real mean green. We clean it after 2 batches because we've measured. Without cleaning, we get about 25% less from the last 2 batches versus the first 2. If we could do it 2-3 times a day that would be nice, but it's not logical because we're not home all day.

This one goes on sale for $210 about twice a year, I think I'm going to get it next time, even though the one we have works fine.

Interesting Pugs. How long will the 4 batches last? 3 days in the fridge for me...and that's pushing it from what I'm reading.

i have a breville ikon 5-speed, i really like it, the one i had before was a POS so i never really had anything else to compare it to.. but i just juice and down it, froth and all..

the masticating juicers like the omega VRT and champion are supposed to be much better, less oxidation, higher yield, less seperation, dryer pulp... but its tough finding them under $400. the breville gets the job done however..

Between the two of us, it's usually 2 days max. If it's just one of us drinking, then it can last about 4 days, but we don't drink it past that. If you're going hardcore and drinking 3-5 glasses per day, then 4 batches will last one person no more than 2 days. One thing you can do is buy the ingredients for 8 batches, but make only 4 batches at a time, so you can cut your trips to the store in half. It does feel weird going through the check out line with 16 apples though. One of those apple slicers that cuts them into eight pieces and separates them from the rind comes in handy.

Oh, and I lied, it's 1 cucumber per batch. I noticed I put 2 in my previous post. I think I was thinking 2 because we cut them in half.

I mean good luck, but you should probably consider a juice fast.
