Never mind the fact that James Harden shot 49% from the field, 61% from 3 and averaged 19 points per game against the Spurs whiles taking just 12 shots per game. Never mind the fact that in the same series, Westbrook shot 38% from the floor for 18 points a game, taking 19 shots per game. James Harden definitely never proved himself in the playoffs and has never been a factor.
Harden definitely choked in the finals last year, but everyone citing pricing himself in the playoffs Anne than mentioning the choke job against Miami are forgetting his absolutely fabulous performance against the spurs... How about looking up those stats and asking how he does in the playoffs... Hell even look up the first series, or the playoffs in whole to gage how he does un the bright lights... In fact i urge you to go back and watch that spurs series... Harden Won that series for okc... Another thing, Miami decided to double team and stop harden, not Durant or westbrook, but harden when he was on the court... They focused on shutting down harden, and that says something...
Is James Harden the best offensive SG in the league? Yes, I think he is. Is James Harden the best SG in the league? No, certainly not, not when HOU still has to hide Harden on Tyler Hansbrough on defense and have D-Mo guard Paul George/Gerald Green/Danny Granger. ;P
umm harden sucked in the finals because he had to guard lebron james. scotty brooks didnt want durant to use up his energy on defense or get into foul trouble. yall need to check yo selves before you wreck yo selves brahs
If it makes you happy, Harden was at least average on defense last year. What changed? The increased offensive load is what dubbed him "arden". He needs other star players on offense to work with to help him out ( and no, Jeremy and Parsons don't count), so he can focus more on the defensive end . Until then I doubt you're going to see much effort there.
You guys are all biased and delusional. How many game saving/ winning shots has Kobe taken this year? Are you guys nuts? All I know is Harden has made 1 game winner this entire season / made a couple of game saving shots. That's it. He usually isos and turns the ball over in critical time. I'm not saying he can't become a "legend", but to say he is better than Kobe is laughable. Kobe is compared to Jordan, so we might as well compare Harden to Jordan for crying out loud. Kobe? The dude is a game winning shooter machine.
I'm also going on a limb here (obviously I'm a minority here) to say that if there was a fourth quarter charge that needed to be performed, I'd pass the ball to Lin rather than Harden. Harden can shoot his threes and get fouls orchestrated by Lin passing him the ball but to deliberately (like how they are now) let Harden become the PG and handle the ball will only lead to losses. That has been proven all season. The dude has no handles in a full court press.
Terrible? We are a couple games up. Dude, it's harder to manage diva egos than a bunch of young guns that will listen to you.
Turrible for the amount of talent they have, extreme underachievers. Dude chucks away tough contested shot after tough contested shot and plays no defense.
You honestly believe that if we were playing the Lakers in the Playoffs we have a chance this year? HA!
Kobe chucked the Lakers out of way more games than he has helped them win but I guess the game winners always makes him look good . Against the Wizards he missed like 3 straight shots at the end that could of given them the lead and Trevor Ariza was lighting him up bad on the other end.
Unless something magical happens and they suddenly figure things out, they are going to get swept in the first round. They play no defense and everyone just watches Kobe chuck away.
