And as ridiculous as it sounds to say this, they were very average for most of the regular season this year with all those guys. The Cameron firing turned out to be pure genius because they gelled after that and got hot, then Flacco kind of carried them through the playoffs and they got big/lucky plays when needed (Jacoby vs Denver, Jacoby in the SB).

Could be setting up for a bad year in Baltimore, but who knows with the NFL.

I guess that is the point
The NFL is weeding out running plays
    More Passes . . . More Passes

Were they weeding out passing plays with the defenseless receiver calls?

Let's see . . . This rule makes it harder for the running to fight for a first down
defenseless receiver calls . . . makes it easier for the receiver to get the ball

    You make the call

Bears got him for cheap so at least they don't lose anything if he has another off field issue. 1 year stop gap at best.

4th and 5 was not a running play before this rule, and it's not a running play after this rule. This rule had no effect on that. Stop trying to defend your terrible example.

Never heard of a Draw Play I take it. . . . Texans routinely do them on 3rd and 10+

To reduce the odds of a turnover, while still giving a chance to get the 1st...

Coincidentally, that's what I say to my wife when I'm ready to get it on.

I've already spawned one, but luckily, she's more like her mama. :)
