playoffs are the true indicator of a players talent....

Harden performed very well up until the finals last season...

now lets see how he does as the focal point of a team

If you take a poll, I guarantee the majority disagrees with this opinion.

    But do keep generalizing though.

No. Mamba is better than Harden. Wade is still up for debates because we don't know how well he would play at his age as the sole star. And Hardens Effective FG% is dreadful compared to the other scorers.

I feel Harden can have as good or even better career than Wade or Kobe on the offensive end. If Harden can sustain this level of play this will be great for Rox organization moving forward. Right now I don't feel he has surpassed Kobe or Wade based on his short time in the league and his defense. He has GOT to get better and more consistent on the defensive end to even think about being considered with Wade and Kobe overall.

Hopefully this season isn't a one time thing for Harden. JJ had a stellar 25ppg season once, but turned into a 20ppg player from then on. I doubt that happens though, but theirs always a chance.

He has a higher eFG% than Kobe this year and is only 1% behind Wade.

Plus eFG% is obviously effected by who you're on the court with too(pretty sure it doesn't take into account FTA either).

Last year Harden had an eFG% of 58.2% playing alongside Durant & Westbrook.

For comparison, this year where Wade has the highest eFG% of his career, he has an eFG% of 52.9%

Neither of these other SGs could lead our current team the way that Harden can.

He also only played 57 games that season, and was 25 when he put up those numbers.

Despite playing in the East, the Hawks record were 26-56, 30-52, 37-45 for Johnson's first 3 seasons before they finally had a winning season.

Harden is leading the youngest team in the league, filled with players who never played with each other before, to a winning record in the west and in the playoffs.

I think that says a lot about Harden's impact compared to Johnson's.

 Right..... and the advanced stats show that at his best, JJ didn't touch what Harden is doing right now.

I wont even bother quoting some of you newbs who try to bash on Harden thinking folks here will think more highly of you by doing so. If you can't see that Harden is a better playmaker than Kobe or Wade and leading this young inexperienced team to the playoffs, I suggest you OPEN your eyes a little bigger...if you can that is.

Obviously the homers here doesn't think Harden needs to prove himself in the playoffs to be named best shooting guard. He choked in the finals last year. Until he dominates like Kobe and Wade have when it counts, he is number 3.

Last time I checked, OKC has this guy name Durant and also Westbrook. If you newbs think it was solely Harden that choked in the finals, maybe some of y'all do think highly of him, just saying.

Wade is better than Harden IMO. He is a plus defender in addition to being an offensive beast. He's also a very good playmaker, which isn't really shown in the stats since he's playing with Lebron who is the PG of the team. Kobe is on par with Harden. Neither plays any defense.

Sure he is overall, but playmaking wise and setting up his teammates, I'll take Harden. Wade also has this LBJ fella that helps a trivial amount.

ummm year of the ox, THIRD OPTION.

Lets not forget that okc wont even be in the finals without Harden coming through. You might embarrass me on CF but you are a walking embarrassment in everyday life.
