Agreed. Mark Jackson likes to talk smack, which most NBA coaches avoid like the plague. I'm OK with him being different in that regard. It adds a little entertainment value. He may want to tone down the rhetoric a little though. His squad is mentally and physically soft and he doesn't want other teams to relish playing the Warriors just to shut him up.
Mark Jackson is was bad commentator, but can't deny he is getting the best out of the warriors squad, he motivates them and believes his players. He should be atleast a canidate for coach of the year, mchale is also a candiDate
With Rexxy you have a circus of epic proportions. MJ er, Mark Jax, is showing he's a tough guy. Frankly acting as a jerk IMHO but he has done as good a joj with GSW as RR has been bad in the swamps of Joisey.
Really? I think he's doing a terrible job. That team is stacked. Curry & Thompson are two of the best shooters in the NBA and Bogut & Lee are excellent bigs. Jackson is like D'antoni in that he has no idea how to use big guys, and that is turning his otherwise talented team into a gimmick.
The tough guy act may work for awhile, but eventually people get sick and tired of it and just tune him out.
If you look at the talent on the Warriors objectively, they should have a better record than they do. They are very well constructed with two of the best shooters in the league, one of the best PFs, and a very good center (albeit one who is constantly injured). They also have probably the best 6th man in the league (another great shooter), a very promising rookie, a starter-quality backup in Landry, and a completely underused defensive bigman in Biedrins who showed promise under other coaches. Under a good coach-- and I'm not talking about PJax, Sloan, or Pop-- I mean a guy like McHale or Rivers or Carlisle-- this team would be fighting for the division title at least. Instead they are bumbling along and barely holding on to a playoff seed.
Agreed on all of that. I look at that roster and theres no way they should be an average offensive team (#13 in the NBA right now). Jackson has ridden their insane shooting ability to #6 even though their offense is worse than the Rockets and Lakers. Dude belongs on ESPN with his ****ty commentary, but on second thought he's coaching a conference rival so hopefully they hold onto him for a long time.
Let's see how much bragging he does when they're bounced from the playoffs in round 1. Bunch of soft b****es trying to act hard, the story/act is FAIL.
