It makes me really happy when I contemplate that gays will attain marriage equality in my life time. The fact that li'l t and the rest of bigot brigade are just going to have to watch it happen and stew in their bitter bile makes it that much sweeter.

The fact that I dominate your thoughts makes me smile smugly

This is one of those topics that will NEVER see common ground. EVER.

As a teacher, it hurts me that this awesome Lesbian couple who volunteer in my classroom with English Language Learners, do so for reasons you wouldn't expect. They so badly want to adopt children, but based on their sexual preference, their application and the entire adoption process is continually delayed. They say, "Mr. G, this is the closest we'll get to having kids of our own. Your students are like our kids." My students adore them.

How do I know about their adoption problems? A mutual friend that works in the adoption agency is well aware of documents that say that "child X's" best interest is not to be in a Lesbian household due to a fear of identity confusion.

Even if laws are passed, there will be such a divide that homosexuals will never be treated as fairly as heterosexuals. To disagree about sexuality is one thing, but to treat another person differently based on their sexuality is down right disgusting.

I feel bad for Gays/Lesbians. I feel bad that, while society is trying to progress, they will never be able to live the American Dream without struggling more than a heterosexual with the same ambitions.

    /quick rant

Don't worry, religion is being slowly phased out just like republicans.

    um

    I'll repeat.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008...y-genetics-usa

    Quote:
Compared to straight men, gay men are more likely to be left-handed, to be the younger siblings of older brothers, and to have hair that whorls in a counterclockwise direction.

US researchers are finding common biological traits among gay men, feeding a growing consensus that sexual orientation is an inborn combination of genetic and environmental factors that largely decide a person's sexual attractions before they are born.

    You're welcome. ;)

Are you aware that proof is the realm of maths and not science?

lol at least you're trying Azadre

bottom line is that recent research thinks they "may have found something" in chemical switches, but not in DNA itself

    Just like evolution, right?

    Evolution is a choice!

Although enough of a side track. The issue of gay marriage can be resolved without any contributions from peer reviewed or religious texts. At this point its in the hands of the SCOTUS and will be resolved with the Constitution.

    Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Or maybe, when it comes to matters of her church, I'll accept her version over yours since...you know...you don't have any idea whatsoever about this particular church or membership and are therefore talking out your backside.

P.S. Your blasphemy of Christ is also duly noted.
