I think he is a good backup and I'm very glad we have him but most of the time when he is in the game the offense doesn't flow like it does when Lin is in the game. I'm glad he plays a different style than Lin I think it helps to change things up some.

First sentence is incorrect. Beverley is very productive versus cost. Morey wants to have star players. To be able to afford star players under luxury tax, a team needs guys that produce on cheap contracts. It would take a lot to get Beverley off the team and that a lot can't use cap space to prevent acquiring star. There is a greater than 50% chance he is a Rocket next season. Lin is generally the better player so I agree with second sentence.
Does this mean the McHale expects Lin to be aggressive no matter his mistakes (i.e TO) rather than "setting up teammates first before I get myself going" style? Because I would really like that approach rather than the passive version of drifting in the corner waiting for three.
Yea the "Parsons" contract is just plain not fair. Its basically making guys trying to break in sacrifice any potential for a pay day in the near future. Seriously Chandler Parsons is making less than a million dollars the year after next!!! Could very easily see the same thing happen with Beverly.
McHale wants Lin to be aggressive so Lin can produce big plays that outweigh his mistakes. If Lin is aggressively sucking, he's still sucking. Robinson was "aggressive" against the Spurs and calling his own number. McHale benched him for the rest of the game because TRob was failing badly at it. In the end it's not about Lin's style of play, it's about whether he's succeeds or not.
I really wish we'd start Bev, Lin sucks. His pick and rolls aren't as effective as Harden's and he's a much worse defender and shooter than Bev.
Lol I love how every time Bev has a good game and Lin doesn't there are so many people who start claiming Bev is better and should be starting. Beverley is not meant to be a starter. He is a high energy guy off the bench who plays in crunch time when Lin is really sucking. But on a nightly basis playing against the first team of your opponents, Lin is clearly better. Its like you only look at this past game and forget this entire month where Lin has been going off. Just cause Lin plays poorly a game everyone says Bev will be starting. Its like you completely ignore Lin's positive production this whole year, especially as of late.
