Personally the car is too small for me. But the 135 is a quick car for sure. You will have a lot more fun driving the 135 then the 128.
No, I'm poor. However I'm banking on my new 17 year old rich Indian buddy to buy me one sometime in the future. He makes it rain.
Because it's tiny and looks like a chick's car perhaps? 1 series reminds me of rich daddy's girl who begged and convinced him to get her that instead of a Scion tc or civic.
Tons of girls at SMU drive this if they're not driving Range Rovers. So yeah, its a chicks car. You're better off getting a used 3 series for the same price. Don't even know why guys would even look at this car in the first place. The only reason I would ever consider a 1 series is if you are living in tightly spaced area like downtown Austin but if you're a Houstonian where the roads are huge, I'd pass and look at something else.
The real question you have to ask yourself is..... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-9LwiupyRsA?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have a 335. And I do like small cars, before this I had a Camaro. However, I got the 135 as a loaner while mine was getting some work done... It was just too small, even for me. I think you'd be better off getting a 3 series, rather than a 1. They kinda seem chickish to me, but if you like them, don't let other people sway your decision.
It's a tin can with good performance. I'd rather have a 3-series, but then I wouldn't buy one of those, either. One of my co-workers just bought one. I can't stand tiny cars. The reason you don't see as many of them around is probably because the 1-series is basically an expensive car that can go fast and that's about it. The interior is spartan for the price, it can't carry a family, it can't carry much cargo, etc. which leaves it best for single people and "2nd cars". Not to mention by the time you add all the packages that should be standard equipment, the damn thing's probably a $40-$50k car.

I thought the I6 was supposed to be more efficient than a V8? The 135is gets worse gas mileage than a Mustang GT but has 100 less horsepower. And less room. Ouch.
