Pairing Curry with Harden would make our back court the most lethal weapon ever. We would lose some defensive prowess but more than makeup for it with Curry's abilities to score and shoot 3s on a split second. That would have been exciting to watch, to say the least.
If you were truly a Rockets fan you would NEVER wish harm on one of our players or any other player of a team for that matter. I know their's a whole dispute about Lin but wishing harm on him is taking it too far. You can criticize him, bash him whatever floats your boat but not hope for him to get injured.
Maybe he's a Lin fan then a Rockets fan. You can watch his Curry + Team Highlights, that include Curry's Ft too.
That's the only way to shut you Lin only fans up. You all keep stepping all over Beverley or anyone on the team like Parsons and Harden like they're all worthless just to prop up Lin. No, the Rockets doesn't need Lin to win for you Lin fanatics. Beverley in the starting lineup can do as much just need a chance. Like when Lin got his chance because Shump was injured in NY.
Dont try to act like your a Rockets fan. Lin only fans wants Lin to have good games and good stats. They can care less if Rockets win or lose. When Lin gets benched in the 4th, Lin only fans roots for the opposing team to win. So Lin only fans are not Rockets fans. Everytime somehow tries to defend Lin just irks the hell out of me cause they aint Rockets fan.
I'm with you Quick. Lin fans don't care about the Rockets winning and all they do is bash other players. It's not 2 or 3 over zealous posters but every single one of them. I've never seen a Rockets fan be a Lin fan, at least not a real Rockets fan. I hate when Lin fans bash Beverley all of a sudden for no reason cu that's what happens all the time. I've never seen people hate on Lin on here. Tell em! You and Random fan are teh best posters I've seen in a while. #truth!!
Any stats guy will tell you that because stats guys are not capable of letting go of their stats when they are wrong. Obviously, the Spurs are better on the road than Toronto is at home. Beating them is clearly a greater accomplishment.
In American culture it's usually a positive gesture, as you say. But in Chinese culture it is very negative. Mostly an issue for the Chinese fans though, I expect. Jeremy probably doesn't give it a moment's thought.
Rockets_Pride I hope you didn't sign up just to troll. I only saw a couple of harcore LOFs bashing Beverely. Everyone else was reasonable. If you follow the games, most time Beverely doesn't run the offense as good as Lin but is a overwhelming defender. Sunday night Beverely was awesome and made a game saving block. But hindsight is 20/20. Harden was shooting aweful in the first half and start making shot in the 3rd. Lin has the tendency to be better in the 2nd half as well. Since that Dallas game where Lin sit out 4th despite having a good game, McHale has used him properly. If Beverely is clearly on fire, no one would argue why he's playing. With that being said, how sweet was that run when Beverely and Lin were on the court without Harden. I hope McHale sees that and start stagger starters' min.
Apparently, Jeremy just did what he was told on the court, which was to be a spot-up shooter. When Beverly was on the court, James would let him handle the ball, however, while Lin was there, harden would take over the pg role, and I believe it was definitely mchail and sampsons idea, cause harden actually has been willing to share the ball more recently and there's no reason for him to just take the pg role from Lin, but not from Beverly. Lin did look sloppy and not focused enough, though.
Not really, I don't think it's easy to ask Curry only taking 8 shots a game and giving the ball to Harden or doing the opposite. This is called diminishing marginal returns. For example, the failed experiment of NYK big three or the losing records when Lakers four play at the same time !
You really got some nerve to criticize others for not being Rockets fan, while you are openly wishing one of our players get hurt. So that you can shut some random fans up on a message board? So it's all about your sensitive FEELINGS on the internet, nothing about Rockets team? That's your frigging definition of team fan or team pride?!! Stupidity and hatred have no boundaries nowadays. Meanwhile, I am actually quite disappointed that not many "team oriented fans" calling you out. Or, should I wait out for a "reasonable interpretation" how wishing Rockets player gets hurt is team oriented, even if that player's name is Lin, and he's a Chinese American?
What is all this LOF crap people always harp on? You can't be a Lin fan AND a Rockets fan? Maybe the problem isn't Lin and his supporters. Maybe the problem is that Beverly and Parsons are both horribly overrated on Clutchfans, except on occasion. And that they should defer to Harden and Lin basically all the time if this team is gonna go anywhere. Parsons usually has that figured out - camp in the corner and wait for Lin or Harden to create a shot for him. Try to defend your man but not be able to so Lin has to help which leaves his man wide open for a three. Parsons plays swiss cheese defense but if you just read Clutch and didn't watch the game you'd think he was Michael Jordan on defense. Beverly is a nice backup but worse on both sides of the floor. Lin can be absolutely terrible there's no doubt. But you're on drugs if you think Beverly is an upgrade. Us "LOFs" can't help it if a bunch of ignorant fools get super excited any time anybody but Lin makes a good play. It's like Lin is different somehow. At least everyone can agree Asik is awesome.
Pretty sure the whole board gets elated in ecstasy when he hits his open 3's so it open up his game and the entire offense.
It's easy to paint entire groups of people with a pretty broad brush, and in an imperfect communication medium such as this board it tends to happen a lot. I, for one, at one point in December declared myself to be an LOF hater. The rhetoric has calmed down since then and I've made an effort to read with an open mind, the posts written by those fans who support Lin and his performance as a member of this Rockets roster. I have come to realize that I don't actually hate Lin fans, but sometimes I find that the cumulative effect of the relentless boosterism can cause me to say regrettable things. Just check my posting history. I've never called anyone a name (eg. you're a idi*t), but I have twisted people's words to play a little verbal judo. Ok, a lot. In the end, everything is just an opinion, and if I can remind myself that there are many people here who contribute intelligent and thoughtful perspectives, then I can fully enjoy this incredible season that the Rockets are having. Everything else is just noise.
I for one am not calling him out because his posts were so over the top he went right on to the "ignore" list. Peace and harmony restored.
