Before this episode I wanted Merle to kill the govna. But now this episode sparked a fire, Daryl will carry on Merle's legacy and kill the governor.

Really well done episode, wish I hadn't clicked that spoiler about this episode but still really impressive.

Season is gonna end on a big time cliffhanger and y'all are gonna cry about it. No satisfaction for anyone, see y'all next year.

Great episode. I agree that next week is gonna end with a cliffhanger. No way they rush everything into one hour (never read the comic books, just a guess)

Great plan by Merle. Seeing him turned was tough...I always liked him

They've deviated a lot from the comic but they are still hitting the big beats, next week's finale will be pretty brutal if it's anything close to the comic.

That being said they've really left out and changed a lot from the comic, really good stuff which is a shame.

A typical cable show like Breaking Bad or Mad Men usually only film 10-15 episodes per season, and they tend to run them every single week, sometimes with a pretty big gap between the first and second 'halves' of a season. A standard network series runs more episodes in a season (usually around 25) and will take more frequent smaller breaks, spacing the episodes out more and inserting repeats or alternate programming.

Throw in Mad Men and I've got plenty to keep me busy until WD returns.

Its really expensive and time consuming to produce quality shows. Especially if they're done film-style. Sitcoms are the easiest since they are usually multi-camera.

I produce a gospel music program and I get hammered sometimes by our fans for running too many reruns and we produce 26 episodes a year. 13 weeks of new shows then rerun them for 13 weeks. 13 more new, 13 rerun. My show is much easier than an episodic series like BB and TWD and I run a really tight schedule, so I can only imagine the amount of people and money it takes to make those shows.

Yep, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Homeland, The Newsroom, Boardwalk Empire (Justified and The Americans also in my personal faves)... the wait won't seem that bad. Man, I love the way the best TV shows are scheduled now. I don't watch network TV at all anymore.

This. The level of quality between network and premium is drastic
