The funniest thing about this thread is people reacting to posts like "They are the biggest homers/floppers!" with posts like "No, they are the biggest homers/floppers!" Do you seriously consider yourselves more objective than they are? Lol, on what basis? Harden does play for the whistle more than he should. The officiating was not biased against the Rockets last night at all. Bullard and Worrell are huge homers and some of the least objective commentators in the NBA.
harden is always trying to hit the shot, his game is crafty they can't stand he took ginobli's offensive moves to a whole other level
still really don't venture out to other bbs forums i don't care about what other random people who like other teams think there's plenty of random people here anyways
I don't get the sense that Harden plays "lawyer ball" in the way that Manu or Kevin Martin do. He's always trying to score, not drawing the contact first and then chucking it up once the whistle blows. Since his best move is that euro step that forces the defender to commit to a side or the other when it works the defender has not other choice than to try to swipe the ball (usually raking him acrross the arms in the process). But it is a legit strong move.
I take those comments as respect for the squad. "talibeard" haha, that's a funny one. And I thought the nickname westbrick was only use here but apparently it's all over.
check out this one: (link: http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211362) "We get Houston, not only will the travel turnaround time be virtually non-existent, but the Rockets may truly have the worst home court fan support I've witnessed. I mean how'd we get the entire Baseline Bums in a lower level section in their stadium."
i can tell harden grew up playing with his uncles and older cats, his game is so advanced for being 23. he has that old man street ball game. he reminds me of this guy I used to hoop with named "mad ball". he attacked the basket non stop, always drew contact and every shot attempt was either a foul or a make. The Spurs have good fans. SpursTalk is entertaining.
I'm going to respectfully disagree and cite the fact that Harden leads the league in And 1s. If Harden wasn't trying to score on most every attempt, how would that be possible? Hell, it happens fairly regularly that they actually don't call fouls on plays in which he makes the shot but draws contact. The game winner last night is a recent example of that.
Opposing teams fans always hate Harden. Harden is good and he gets calls just like all the other superstars. Deal with it. I don't mind our announcers being homers. They live in Houston and want our team to win, of course they are homers.
Dude made the Dean's List every year. Then went as a Rhodes Scholar to the Oxford School of Flopping.
