I think it is funny that Spurs fans are calling out Harden for flopping when Harden is essentially Manu 2.0. Apart from the hypocrisy of it though, they do have a point -- Harden is a great player, but his game does have a huge component of trying to get to the line as opposed to trying to make shots. That is not a pleasant thing to cheer for.

Honestly, I think it's a fair criticism. Harden does angle for fouls more than he actually attempts to score. But at least he has the chops to score if you try to avoid the foul. In addition, most of his fouls legitimately come from people swiping at the ball. He gets a few BS calls where he creates body contact with a guy, but he certainly wouldn't be anywhere near the FT leaderboard if guys defended him with their feet instead of their hands. Unpopular opinion alert: Manu really isn't that spectacular a flopper anymore, and hasn't been in several years.
When the fans start whining about flopping in San Antonio you KNOW they are concerned about match ups. I luv seeing Harden go to the line, since it also influences other refs to see just how abused he is....smirk 17-18 is a typical line. Great to have a fouls shooter who NAILS them always in crunch time.

Harden doesn't flop, he makes the defender foul him. HUGE difference. And I've lost count of how many times the Spurs have beat us because of bad officiating. Last nigh wasn't too different till the last 3 min or so. They get away with every thing! Duncan travels every time he touches the ball, Manu is 2nd only to Chris Paul in flopping, and they should lead the league in technicals with the whole team harassing the refs after every call.
Trying to get to the line is part of trying to score. Harden is very good at exploiting defenders when attacking the basket. There's nothing gimmicky about relentlessly going to the hoop.
our announcers are not horrible... i would be devastated if Bill Worrel wasn't announcing for us anymore.. i grew up listening to him call the games! oh yeah and the refs were horrible against us.. they were alll for the spurs.. i was there and witnessed the 5 second delays on whistles it was horrible.. only great call that favored us was the harden 3 shot foul at the end of the game
