Yup, unless you want to face OKC instead of Memphis.. Unfortunately we have to pick our poison But hey.. We will probably be making the Playoffs for the first time in three years!!
How could you NOT be rooting for the Lakers tonight? Would you rather play an extra-fired-up-to-dominate-James-Harden OKC Thunder, or the Memphis Grizzlies? The choice is obvious.... Having said that...either way something positive happens in that game. We tie up with the Warriors or the Lakers lose, but I'm hoping the Lakers dominate, just for tonight.
Any word on Stephen Curry's status for tonight's game? That'll be a big help for the Lakers if he's not playing.
I HOPE the Lakers win (smh) but I just don't think they can or will in Oakland. they have lost to the Suns recently and the Wizards beat them with their full lineup... (which they are 0-6 when intact)
Rockets need a lakers WIN for 6th place. I hate the lakers like the rest of us but, rooting for them for one night is best for OUR team. They should be motivated after getting beat at home by the Wiz.
Wish the Warriors and Lakers could both lose. I'm going to root for the Warriors because we haven't clinched a playoff berth yet, so aiming for 6th seed and ignoring the teams behind us is a bit presumptuous. I'm going to root against the Lakers, Jazz and Mavs at least until we get past our Hell Week. Plus, it would be nice if the Lakers missed the playoffs.
Nah ill root for golden state. If we have a slide and loose a bunch of games we want as big of a buffer as possible. We probably won't make it to the 2nd round so securing A playoff spot is #1
We have a ton of leeway with the Jazz because we own the tiebreaker. We're up five games on them in the standings, so they'd have to win six more than us to overcome that. The Mavs have an identical record as the Jazz, but our five game lead over them is really more like four due to them owning the tie breaker over us.
I don't want to face Denver. I feel like we match up really poorly against them. it'll just end up really bad & demoralizing, atleast with OKC/Spurs we're losing to an established elite team. Denver's still 3 games behind OKC so I think they'll pretty much stay 3rd seed. I want 7th or 8th seed to face OKC/Spurs.
If we're sweating the Mavs in the next couple weeks, it means we're experiencing a collapse worse than even last year's. I'm torn on who I want in the 8th seed(I assume we'll hang on for 6th or 7th). If the Fakers get into the playoffs, they likely face the Spurs which would not only be another entry in a long-running and entertaining rivalry, but I could actually see the Spurs being knocked out if Kobe goes off. On the other hand, it would be sweet for LA to miss the postseason altogether. Dwight Howard would be headed for the exits and that franchise will be in ruins for a long time given their cap and draft pick situation.
