Dude. Look at this team. The odds of us winning a playoff series are ...I shouldn't even have to tell you the odds. I love being an optimist believe me...and btw tonight was a HELL of a coaching job. Probably the best coaching job mchale has done all season.
Lin is a better player than Beverley, and I like Beverley but he seems to have a limited offensive skill set. Although he does bring energy and defense. Lin was not shooting well tonight, so McHale took the chance and put Beverley in which gave this team more energy and defense when they needed it. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Lin in the final minutes of a game but it is clear that McHale made the right choice by adjusting to the circumstances and putting in Beverley who in turn made a clutch play. It was the right choice, and helped us get a big win over one of the toughest teams out there. I think that Lin should get use to playing in those final minutes, but he has to earn those minutes. Just because you are Jeremy Lin doesn't mean that you are not a rookie anymore, and not free of not getting benched. Lin is still growing as a player, and he will have his ups and down's. He understands this, I think this is smart of the coaching staff not giving everything to Lin on a silver platter but making him earn his playing time despite his international fame. He should not be given any special treatment, and this is coming from someone who's favorite player is J-Lin.
Lets... Sorry both Beverly's block and Harden's shot are bigger plays given they are made in the fourth quarter rather than the first. Then again, despite, Beverly outplaying and outshooting Lin, you wanted Lin in at the end. So maybe your just blind to the obvious. So you're a huge Rockets fan, who spent all of his money to fly to Houston to watch the Rockets... Impressive. It's strange though then that you said.... Oops. You're not fooling anyone. You take a backseat to every actual Rockets fan. McHale would been to be a terrible coach if he was stupid enough to keep Lin in at the end. Thankfully he's not and he did the smart thing and subbed in Bev. So once again... 1) You're a LOF 2) Stop posting stupid stuff, and digging a deeper hole.
THIS THIS THIS. Some of you are seriously being embarrassing about this. Jeremy was not feeling it tonight, and Bev was so it all worked out and we got a fat W. On the flip side, the usual suspects keep trying to bait Lin fans even though a good majority of them were expressing their joy for the win. That's not cool, either.
Honestly, Lin didn't have a great game tonight. That being said, his previous two outings against the Spurs were good-spectacular. Beverly played a great game. This does not mean that Beverley is better than Lin. Please, for the love of all that is good, just enjoy the victory. Omer = unsung hero of this game.
I think we have a good shot at beating Memphis and possibly Denver. Denver is hot now but we can get hot too. To me, if we had better in game coaching we'd have a real shot at the 2nd round.
Well put. Good post. And to be fair, Mchale did give him a chance in the fourth. If Parker hadn't scored quick 6 points I thin Lin would've finished up the game. He was playing pretty good D on Parker up to that point.
you guys have turned Jeremy Lin into Justin freaking Bieber. he is not that polarizing, you guys either need to cool it, or stop trolling each other.
You can choose not to believe me but my league pass comment was simply to troll LOHs. I love it. In any case, any stats guy will tell you a play made in the first is JUST as important as a play made in the 4th. If you don't realize this, you may be a fan but you don't understand basketball. Something being more DRAMATIC doesn't make it more important. But of course you don't get it. That's why you get more excited about a home win against the Spurs than a road win against the Raptors. Statistically speaking, both are similar in likelihood.
They are way too young and inexperienced. You can't coach through that bro. Thats just keeping it real. The rockets in terms of as a team aren't on the same level as: SA OKC LAC Denver Memphis they can get there, but as of now they aren't. They can't beat any of those teams except maybe memphis and denver like you said but would be quite a stretch.
